Yesterday, I bought a Nintendo DS game (Chrono Trigger) and I don't own a DS, however, I do plan on buying one today, but I'm not sure if I should wait for the DSi.

I'm leaning toward the DS lite because I'm not really interested in the new features the DSi offers, especially since I have an Ipod and a Camera/Camera phone.

Plus, I'm craving some RPG's, which is the main reason why I'm buying a Nintedo DS. I'm all about the games.

So obviously, the question is, should I wait for the DSi, or just buy the DS lite today?

Thank you.

:)

Well you've already stated that the DSi features don't really interest you that much. The only other big deal breaker might be price. If you buy the Lite instead, you could always put that $40 in savings toward another RPG or two. Its your call...they are both great systems and you can always upgrade to the DSi later.

Please take a look at the DS Lite vs. DSi thread for more help. I would go with the Lite, because you may not need/use the new features. In some ways, the Lite is better, too. But it's up to you. I'm getting a Lite next week or very soon.

With the Lite you can play some of the time-honored GBA RPGs, while with the DSi you wouldn't be able to. The only feature the DSi will have that the Lite will not is the shop that lets you use buyable points to download apps and games.

I agree with Chaay, the only feature that sounds useful to you would be the DSi Shop. The DSi is also going to have larger screens and more preferable buttons to play with, if that helps you any.

I think since you already bought a game, you should just get the Lite. Like someone else said, you can use the money it saves to you buy a couple good DS RPGS.

Dsi or DS that is the question xD

Well, DSi isnt spectacular... Who needs 2 camera's? Seriously.. Its not worth losing the slot 2 imo... but thats a different thread!

Get the lite. Hands down, you have the game already, there are a lot of RPG's for DS now, (I reccomend FFIV if you were wondering) this shouldnt even be a question, the answer is sooo easy :)

Have fun Chrono Trigger is good, enjoy the new ending!
