the countdown page from Marvelous

Sega countdown site

This link showed up on MMV's website, the company publishing Little King Story, Rune Factory and Arc Rise Fantasia. All there is on this page is a triangular clock with a countdown underneath it. Inside the clock the symbol looks like a Triforce. What could this mean? According to the time left: we'll possibly find out in about 9 days. You guys have any idea?

EDIT: THERE'S ALSO ONE ON THE SEGA SITE ASWELL WITH A MUSHROOM!!! This could be great! Do these allude to any games we know of? :P

SEGA one says "Takao Miyoshi Produced" Takao Miyoshi is the creator of Phantasy Star Universe so I think it has to do with the launch site for the new Phantasy Star on the DS or maybe a Wii Phantasy Star. But it could actually be Phantasy Star on any console.

The marvelous one is interesting because it is a giant triangle and a Triforce at the top and one at the right and one triangle is missing for the Triforce on the right and moved to the left corner of the triangle.

i would love to see a Zelda done with Nintendo and Marvelous but its to soon for a new Zelda and if it was being annouced nintendo would be making a big deal about it as well. i think at least one of the games is going to be a ds game but i'm hoping there both wii games and not a ps3 or 360 game

Actually no it isn't too early for a new Zelda 2009 is a perfect time for the new Zelda because Zelda's usually take 3-4 years and 2009 is 3 years after Twilight Princess released.

I look forward to Marvelous' new game. They've got pretty much every noteworthy Wii game under their belt for the next couple months.

2008 was the first year this decade without a new Zelda on any console. Just thought I'd throw that out there for people who think it's too early.

I think the Triforce one may definitely be Zelda, since I don't know anything else with a Triforce symbol. The blue mushroom may not be a giveaway of Mario just yet. I've never seen a blue mushroom like that in a Mario game. It's probably another game.

There's pretty much no way Nintendo would let someone else make a Zelda game. They have, however, let other companies like Capcom develop Zelda spin offs. And with everyone complaining about lack of games, Nintendo's best bet of pumping out games might be to let third parties have some of their properties (like they did with Star Fox and F-Zero for the GameCube).

As much as I dislike the idea of SEGA even touching anything Nintendo, they did work together a few years back to make an arcade board called "Triforce"...pretty weird coincidence.

What Zelda spin-offs did Capcom make? I hope you aren't referring to Oracle of Ages/Seasons because those are not spin-offs.

The Marvelous one interests me... that symbol definitely looks like a triforce. But as far as I know, Marvelous and Nintendo don't have any history working together, so I'm not getting my hopes up.

They made Minish Cap for GBA, which is one of the best 2d Zeldas IMO.

Well, Nintendo didn't have any previous history with GoodFeel when they made Wario Land: Shake It!. History is made from 2 people working together that haven't in the past. If Nintendo did it with Wario, Zelda and Metroid then they can do it with any of their characters. If Phantasy Star came to Wii though, that'd be a pleasant surprise.

I would love a new Zelda and it does look Zelda-ish with the triforce but I think Nintendo would be in charge of the marketing leading up to it's release.

Neither site specifies if they are wii games or not...I hope they are!

Well, if it is a Zelda titles, then is involves Time because it is in a clock thing.

So what could that possibly mean? Majora's Mask remake? Ocarina of Time remake? Something new entirely on the DS?

First, Zelda TP was a gamecube port. They pushed it back and added on wii contols to make a great game. So a new Zelda is closer then you think. Aside from that, Suda said he would like to do a mature mario style game. So it doesnt suprise me that Marvoulous is possibly making a new Zelda or Nintendo IP. Also, i dont know that the Sega might be, possibly a Mario RPG, I think we will find out next week sometime..........

Does anyone seriously believe that Nintendo will let anyone develop a main console Zelda or Mario game. Theres a better chance of a Nintendo developed God of War.

Very interesting! I think Marvelous teaming with Nintendo for the next Zelda could be great. Not sure about the Sega one, but it could be another Mario and Sonic game.

The Sega game is probably for the DS since the web site takes you to a DS web site. Judging by the mushroom, I'm guessing a Mario VS Sonic (or perhaps a Mario and Sonic) for the DS.

Wow, that Sega page just keeps getting more and more interesting. I'm starting to think it's a Mario RPG. When you click the mushroom it makes that sound, almost like a 'You picked up a ...' sound in RPGs. I'm guessing this game is going to be an RPG for sure. The blue mushroom gets big and turns red... what could that mean??? These people must have something epic if they keep updating the site like this. Now if Marvelous and Nintendo made a Zelda that's be epic!! Maybe it'd be like a hand-drawn anime-like Zelda. Wouldn't that be something? What will they unveil next? Keep your eyes on this site guys cuz we'll be seeing something interesting tomorrow for sure...

No, if you put your cursor over the other letters they will take you to Let's Tap! and Let's Catch!, 2 Wii titles coming out in Japan. The only reason those titles are linked are because the guy who's making the secret game made those other games too, that's all. It might be a DS title though now that I'm hearing the sound clips.

It weird because there are linke to a DS game, a Wii game (Let's Tap), and a WiiWare (Let's Catch).

I wouldn't mind a Mario and Sonic WiiWare title.
