Looks awesome! I only have two issues:
1- I wonder how targeting works.
2- What was that ray of light that came out of her boob?
1- auto targets in third person, something similar to the prime games in first person. but you can't walk in FP 2- IT'S MORPHING TIME!!!!Looks awesome! I only have two issues:
1- I wonder how targeting works.
2- What was that ray of light that came out of her boob?

Its looking better than ever, and the gameplay looks very fluid and fast but also pretty diverse. I'm getting more excited for this game by the minute
[QUOTE="Haziqonfire"]Better version hereBrunoBRSstupid site won't let me watch it... it opens and right after it closes >_>
Same here. Thankfully, that's not the only place to find it.
In any case, what took you so long, Nintendo? You had a gameplay trailer this awesome-looking, and you hold it back? Sheesh... :P
You can definitely see the influence Team Ninja has had on this game; the action is pretty fast-paced and Samus' moves are slicker than ever. It also looks like the game hasn't also forgotten about the wonderful things the Prime series has done, and even manage to include a few gameplay and atmoshperic elements that Prime made famous. It's good to know that Nintendo has put some effort into trying to get the most out of Samus' previous 3D outings, while still taking a more old-school approach.
I didn't expect the third person to first person transition to take place by twisting the Wii Remote (even though I have Super Paper Mario, which does something similar, lol), but I guess it works. My only concern is that it does seem like you can't move in first person view because of the nunchuk not being used, but hopefully, the areas where the transition is required isn't too hectic.
Now that I've seen gameplay footage, I have reason to be hyped. :)
Team Ninja is the devloper, not Nintendo. With Nintendo watching over, it's not something to worry about.I was sold the day it was announced, but now I am soooooooo much more excited! Gameplay looks very fluid. I just hope Nintendo doesn't screw up and make it too easy err I mean "accessible" :D

Ooooooooooooooooommmmmmmmmmmmffffffffffffgggggggggggggggggggg!
I was laughing hysterically and uncontrollably at how awesome it was HOLY CRAP! I got chills at least forty seven times watching that! Haziq you are the M F'nman for posting that! No other game even has a right to exist now that Other M is on its way. Case closed. End of story. The end.

Well actually Team Ninja and nintendo are developing it. It's the same people that brought you Super Metroid, Metroid Zero Mission, and Metroid Fusion from the nintendo side. They were inexperienced with 3D so they got Team Ninja to help them

Nintendos Super Metroid/Metroid Fusion team is in charge of this and Team Ninja is helping out...
Its like a risk/reward system, you get the added accuracy of the pointer and access to the missiles in exchange for being stuck in place. Its a solid mechanic for a 2D game, especially since the transition between first and third person seems very smooth. And yeah I saw this early and I was amazed at the speed of the game, Samus also seems to have a couple of her Smash Brothers moves when it comes to melee. Of course the return of the screwattack is awesome sauce lol.My only concern is that it does seem like you can't move in first person view because of the nunchuk not being used, but hopefully, the areas where the transition is required isn't too hectic.

I don't know yet how I feel about it. The cutscenes look really nice and it will be cool to get some info about Samus but not sure if I will like the gameplay yet. I loved Prime and I really enjoyed the feel of a 2D Super Metroid but we will see. TheColbertim exactly the opposite about my concerns. im worried that the game will be story driven and the samus story will be complete drivel. but i think the game itself looks fun :)
Exactly, The game at first glance looks excellent, but when you pay attention, you see the auto aim in full glory and it just turns it in to a pointless button masher. Push 1 to win. That was easy.Auto aim is destroying my hype completely.

It doesn't take much skill, but neither did killing enemies in Super Metroid.... I'm really looking forward to the simplicity. There's no need for anything complicated here.Auto aim is destroying my hype completely.

Yeah people need to stop acting like auto aim is something new. that is how all games were played back in the day and auto aim is just aim assist these days. Sepewrath
When I played Fusion and Zero Mission there was no auto aim. Please tell me anyone who thinks I am going to accept that reasoning has better points than that. I did not auto aim in those games. It was not particularly difficult but it required some effort. This is just auto aim.

I'm really looking forward to the simplicity. There's no need for anything complicated here. I would have rather it been like Contra where you had to jump and shoot or kneel and shoot to get certain enemies. If you actually have to kind of aim up (i.e. hit up and forward at the same time), I'd be more ok with that. I still think Primes control scheme would have rocked in this game.Exactly, The game at first glance looks excellent, but when you pay attention, you see the auto aim in full glory and it just turns it in to a pointless button masher. If you beat fusion you know you are much more agile while fighting than prime, which has full aiming , in a fast paced action game where you gotta move every second, having to aim manually(against every little vermin) turns cumbersome.Thats why prime mostly had minimal skill involved in dodging attacks(save for spare jumps), because the player is focused in charging and aiming. Same goes for GOW 3, since you aim manually thats where the skill lies mostly, it requires just so shift cover here and then for defensive maneuvers.[QUOTE="psychobrew"][QUOTE="ActicEdge"]

That's called aim assist, the same thing this game has. You don't just stand there and start mashing 1 and everything dies. If you ever played Shadow Complex you would get an idea of how this will work, you have to put your character in the proper positioning to shoot and then you use the first person mechanic for full control. Since the game is in 3D and the enemies are in different planes, while you move in 2D, just like in Shadow Complex, that type of aim assist is necessary.[QUOTE="Sepewrath"]Yeah people need to stop acting like auto aim is something new. that is how all games were played back in the day and auto aim is just aim assist these days. no,because you couldnt be surrounded in fusion in different degrees. So basically there was auto aim as the monsters were aligned in front of you. If you had an enemy above you might have to jump to hit it and thats it, and thats pretty much the same as here. the auto aim is not gonna let you hit an enemy high above you or behind you. This auto aim requires you to shift to the general area of enemies. Please Log In to post.
