Maybe thats why CT is being rereleased, to bring up the series hype and catch new fans which will ultimately lead to the release Chrono Break.

Chrono Break is the name Square Enix licenced or whatever that was under the Chrono series. Its just a name, it was never given actual game developement, but hopefully that will change because of this recent event.

Ok, first of all, Square doesn't owe you anything, all it's been doing is releasing one of the best RPGs of all time (and up to this day I never played an FF game) I can't wait for this one though, I want to see what's so great about this RPG, It just seems like its on everyone's favorite top 10 games list.

Hope its goign to look like FFIV with voice acting.Square really wants to introduce the new generation to the clasics doesnt it?

To those who don't know, I think it's a port not a remake like FFIII or FFIV.

Which is fine, as long as Square-Enix crisp up the sprites by making them DS quality.

They should definitely update the character sprites and add some voices, maybe even enhance the music.

OMFG, I'm psyched. I never owned the original SNES version, and playing the game for the Playstation was way too laggy. Fun, but laggy. If they do a straight port with added content or even pull a FF3/4-style remake, I will be utterly and completely beside myself with excitement.

Only problem I see here is that if this really turns out to be real, it's gonna make me want an SMRPG port/remake even more.

First off it seems that they have completely ignored the fact that this games has such a big fan base and they wont even make a new one (though that could be because it would be quite difficult to get the original team back together) but all they have been doing is milking the FF series to no end while completely ignoring the popularity that this game has gotten. The last thng we got was a rerelease of the original game with some new cutscenes along with a FF game (4?) and a sequel called chrono cross. Chrono cross pretty much had very little in common with trigger and it really didnt deliver the same greatness as trigger.(it was still a great game though) Even when fans pushed for a new game, square quickly shot them down by threatening them and ever ince then we havent heard a word of a new game even though trigger was better than any FF game. Now I definetely think its time they at least port the game hopefully with updated 2D graphics to make it feel like the original. They better not do it in 3D like FF3 and 4 because i would rather take great 2D over crappy 3D graphics.

I just hope they don't try and fool around with it too much, as they have with remakes of Final Fantasy. What I'm trying to say is, when they say port, they better mean transfter, no tamper. myols

I know what you mean by not messing around with the game. I want a nice clean transfer and no glitches what so ever. I cannot wait to hear the new music for the game. I always loved the soundtrack to chrono trigger. To me chrono trigger is a perfect game all around. I am so excited I cannot even contain my happiness.
