now i got a real good reason to buy a wii this year

I saw this on kotaku as well, im glad their aiming for a release by then but i doubt that we will see it by the end of the year, it would be great but im not gonna hold my breath since weve all felt the burn of a delayed nintendo game.
Here is an IGN Link which is pretty much the same thingn but whatever.
No matter if it is released in USA or not this is exciting for me because at least we know this year we will now be getting a good look at the game.
I'm feeling 10/10... I can't wait for it.
Also, with the new DS, I knew they would add some kind of tilting feature. I didn't think the graphics would be as good as the article said.
I am bewildered that garrett_duffman hasn't commented on this thread yet, as he has a whole ragin' Zelda blog about this very topic.
I personally don't mind when Link makes a comeback. If Ninty want to keep it as secretive as possible, or they just want more time, it's all good with me. It'll be awesome.
My first thought was that it'd be Japan only, but then again, who knows?
That'd sure be awesome if I were playing it before Christmas, that's all I know.
I told you folks that it was in at least the prototype/alpha stages! Though... I still don't see it coming out this year at all.
If Nintendo did so..... It would cause anarchy throughout the industry and the world would explode!
[QUOTE="alexh_99"]Except Zelda was SSBB, another game that was delayed almost a year. yeah but zelda>> SSBB IMO. These are the Big 3 franchises of Nintendo, zelda deserves that spot more. and it wasn't even delayed a year. It was suppose to come out in december 07, ended up coming march 08. But i see how it can be related to zelda, because zelda will most likely get delayed :PZelda, SMG2, and Metroid other: M
These three games are the new Big 3. Just like good old days back in 2007

Super Mario Galaxy, Smash bros brawl and Metroid Prime 3 were already known as "The big 3" And like alexh_99 said, Smash Bros Brawl originally had a December 2007 release, then it was delayed to February, and then again to March 9, 2008. It didn't stop anyone from calling Smash Bros Brawl, "the 3rd of the big 3" because Metroid Prime 3 was already out before the annoucment of the delay in August 2007, and at E3 08 Reggie said that Brawl would be released December 3rd, 2007, and Mario Galaxy would come out one month before. Now we have "the big 3 of 2010: Metroid Other M, Super Mario Galaxy 2, and Zelda Wii." Regardless of any one of these being delayed until 2011, I'd say we have our Big 3 either way.I don't mind delays one bit. If they need extra time to make the game better, I'm all for it. Rushed games are always terrible.
I want better combat this time around. Imagine Ocarina of Time mixed with Devil May Cry. I'd buy three copies just to show my appreciation.
I don't know why people think Nintendo cant just get a game out. Nintendo's delays in most cases are marketing delays, Brawls, Corruptions, Galaxy's and the big one Twilight Princess all marketing delays. Unless some lucrative, cant possibly pass that up marketing opportunity for 2011 presents itself. The game is very likely to release during the holidays this year. SepewrathOR they don't deliver it on time. a game that was targeted for 2010 will remain that. i wouldn't confirm it's release. but the delay probably wouldn't be long, if it happened.
Yeah this is quite a powerful line up for Nintendo. This with other games like Monster Hunter 3 and Tatsunoko vs Capcom will give the Wii a big year.Zelda, SMG2, and Metroid other: M

If you look at the delays especially this generation they have been marketing delays, you can tell the difference between a normal "we didn't finish delay" and a marketing delay. Nintendo always plays the market, thats why NSMB came out this year and Galaxy comes out next year. Lastly the game was targeted for 2010 at E3, 6 months ago. Now it has been confirmed, I'm sure in that 6 months they figured out exactly where they were and what they want to do. Given that information I'm not going to expect the contrary and for it to come out next year.
In a perfect world the releases wluld go as follows: June - SMG2 Sep - Metroid Other M Dec - Zelda Wii
