Nintendo is making a specific channel for MK online leaderboards, WTF???????

In comes a leaderboard channel. Just a nice channel that's a leaderboard, completely useless (because seriously unless you quit your job and stay up 24 hours a day drinking AMP you're not going to be on that leaderboard don't kid yourself) but it's a channel nonetheless.

Same as when your cable company gives you 50 new channels, do you watch any of them? Maybe 2 if you're lucky. Do you still get to brag that your TV service has 700 channels? Sure ya do.

So they'll add a Mario Kart channel and Mario Tennis channel and a Mario Golf channel and they're already adding a Wii Fit Channel. So it seems that you're getting more.

Know why there's not ONE leaderboard channel?

The same reason we don't have ONE TV channel that mashes everything up in one 24 hour broadcast.

Enough with the micromanagement, I don;t care that one folder can hold all my VC games since they're all on the screen no more then 3 clicks away. Same way I'll never mind a leaderboard channel because it's at most 3 clicks away.

No. Just no. Please, stop trying to justify Nintendo's bad decision. That has got to be the worst reason I've ever heard, that is T.V. this is a video game console, what works for tv doesn't work for video games. I'm pretty sure if Nintendo made 1 leaderboard channel you wouldn't be complaining.

Then they add more place holders

Know the thing that sucks then? Because they wont just add one new channel place holder that means they'll add 3 or 6 or 12 new places. That we'll have unsed channel slots all over again.

This has absolutely nothing to do with the slots to fill in gaps. This has to do with the actual substance. Meaning I dont care if they are filled or not I care how they are filled. I want a VC channel because its convenient and orderly. I want a universal leaderboard because anything else, like making seperate channels for different leaderboards, is ludicrous.

No it doesnt, you seem to act like you know what their doing behind the scenes. What they are doing is consistant with other strange decisions made on the Wii and it really needs to stop. The Wii does so many things right but its these sort of things that makes a certain crowd reject Nintendo.

What I am proposing is basic and because the Wii shows itself as intuitive and new making all these things unpolished blemishes this image. I cant tell you how many of my friends told me to put my VC games in one folder.

Hopefully the channel won't just be for Mario Kart, but for all forthcoming online games and it'll constantly be updated by WiiConnect24. That's what I want.JAB991

What you are saying is equivalent to saying that instead of going on the internet and typing in a url to the site we want, we should have millions of shortcuts to a specific site that way our desktop doesn't feel empty
