and for any noob that wants to quote me and say im over-reacting please dont because you are truely blind if you think that nintendo gives a damn about you anymore. if they did they would go back to making games like star fox 64, super mario bros 3, legend of zelda oot, metroid , you know games that were really challenging and rewarding, Hardcore Games.

hurley_house

Yeah, like if microsoft and sony care about gamers, they only care about our money and it's normal they're companies. And if you dislike so much what Nintendo is doing this generation then please be my guest and sell your Wii and use the money wisely.

why do u feel the need to defend nintendo so much, its okay to criticise them. ive been playing nintendo systems scince the snes days and quite frankly ive been satisfied alot until now. they have put their focus on casuals not us, theyve proved this over and over and it was so blatant at E3. they have put us aside in one corner so why should i be bothered with there products any more, i doubt it will ever have that essence of epicness as previous nintendo games as they look to even try and casualise there core franchises. i may be over reacting but frankly i feel abused 0_o ...

I don't pretend to defend Nintendo, I just wanted to say that companies are in this business for money, it's not about caring or not for us, they took another marketing direction than the other two that's all. It's true they're focusing on more simple games, but there are still some good old fashioned games for us, the thing is to buy what you like and for the rest you have your 360 and I my PS3 to keep us satisfied with more traditional hardcore games.

You're right to criticise, it's your right as a costumer and shows your not a fanboy but a real gamer with a head on his shoulders. It's okay to criticize when we don't like something that's happening. I play Nintendo since NES times and I'm not happy with everything they've done this generation too.But here the game is only in it's early stages of development and we don't know how it will end up. If finally it's watered down and ends up like a minigame fest then I would be the first to raise in arms with you and show my miscontent but I don't this will happen. Anyway the best is to wait and see, but I dont think Miyamoto would butcher Zelda.

[QUOTE="SolemnJedi79"]Please.. they already gimped Mario Kart by making it so n00bified some 7 year old tard can beat an adult veteran.

I'm not enthused for the next Zelda at all, what with talk of encorporating the Wii Fit board, and now the 1:1 motion plus, and talk of applying touch generations influences to make it accessible for retar- ahem I mean 'casuals'

Miyamoto needs to go work for Toy Kingdom.

Cesar_Barba

It takes planning and skill to avoid being beaten by a n00b, which you obviously must be missing if you're so upset at such a tiny-little thing.

Oh, poor you, talking about retards and what not, I feel bad for someone that throws such big words around. Learn not to be offensive and let Miyamoto do what he wants with his franchises.

Much obliged.

True, they really messed up Mario Kart with all of the items. If used to be mostly skill, and now it's who can get the best items.

SolemnJedi79

Bahaha, that was well put!

[QUOTE="SolemnJedi79"]

what with talk of encorporating the Wii Fit board freek666

Got a source for that? Frankly, you people are overreacting.

He stated that the Wii Fit board was talk. Meaning that it is a rumour being spoken of about the game, not overreacting, you don't need a source for a rumour!

For those people 'defending' as some have put it,we all know that Nintendo is a business, just like Sony and Microsoft. They want to make money, but their main audience at the moment is the casual gamers, and it seems that it will probably stay that way for quite sometime. The point I am getting at here is that as it is with Nintendo at the moment they will make money either way, if they put mud in a game case and tell them it's good, they'll make money out of it. I suppose that the majority of the 'whiners and complainers' are feeling pretty betrayed after all of this, even houg they are making easy money of the casual audience, the people who loved their real frachises- the 'hardcores' got them where they are in the first place. It is just rather sad to see them take this path.

"For example, we've got the Touch Generations series. Now, we're not necessarily going to make our 'franchise' games in that style, but we'll take what we know and have learned -- the philosophy behind those games -- and incorporate it into franchise games. That's a philosophy that's very strong at Nintendo.">>>

He's saying they are approaching the new Zelda game with the philosophy that anyone can pick up and play them... They want the games to appeal to a wide variety of people, not just the "hard core"

I imagine it to be similiar to Mario for some reason, but with puzzles.

I'm not going to bash the game or Nintendo yet because we know nothing. But I hope to god they don't water it down.

TP was enough for me.

-------

I don't understand how we go from LOZ, where hearts and rupees are scarce. To TP that was easier than WW and hearts are everywhere. Just doesn't make any sense to me at all.

Wow, you kids will find anything to complain about, no matter how obscure. I believe they are saying that they would like the next Zelda to focus on the wiimote much more than TP did (or didn't for that matter). They are trying to create Zelda to compliment the Wii's abilities.

It all started with BRAWL. BRAWL was the wake up call to many Nintendo fans that Nintendo is slowly changing.

you guys are taking this too seriously, they would probably just make the controls easier. as they said, they arent turning it into a touch generations game.TAKE_IT_BACK
Yeah I agree, I mean I can see them changing the layout and story of the game a lot, but I don't imagine them ruining a console Zelda game by making the controls cheesey.

They will just make the interface and controls more simple. It doesn't mean the game game will be dumbed down.

"to consider how to make it accessible for new gamers to pick up and play and enjoy just as hardcore gamers have."
Notice. They dropped the whole casual AND hardcore gamer saying. Now its for the new gamers.. aka casuals.

everyone needs to chill out! miyamoto is perhaps the most influential game designer of all time. so far, in the opinions of most hardcore gamers i know, he and Nintendo have made better 1st party games than the GCN generation. TP (yes i know it is for both sytems) > WW, Galaxy > Sunshine, MK Wii > MKDD, and SSBB > SSBM. Let's wait until we actually see something directly from Nintendo about the next Zelda before we go selling our consoles and giving up on Nintendo.

*feels like killing myiamoto and letting aonuma take over the zelda franchise alone*

lets hope this means easy difficulty... or maybe one of those "easy to learn, hard to master" controls...

becuse if zelda gets simpler than mario galaxy... (jump and shake. 3 minutes u r a master. notice im not complaining about the game i still play)

The next Zelda game will be great, I'm sure. Still, I agree with the irritation at the idea of making all games directly for the "casual" gamer. I'm a casual gamer myself, because I'm not hyper-competitive at gaming or anything like that, but at least I have enough experience with a controller to know how to play. Making all games for "casuals" is like trying to write a great novel for people who can barely read. See Link Run. End. Yikes.
