I'm guessing we'll see a full trailer at E3 and a release date. Seems like the 3DS is getting a constant flow of quality titles; I'm good with that.

Well yeah, but Grey was also never even mentioned outside of that, it was just people guessing/assuming. Where as with Fire Emblem: Awakening we all know it's a real game, it's already out in Japan and confirmed for a Europe release later this year, chances of this been a dud like Grey are slim. We're not completely free yet! Remember they bought the domain for pokemon grey? yeah.
Still, fingers crossed!

I don't get it, how do you know Nintendo registered it? I don't know anything about this domain stuff, did they have to buy it from someone?rubber-chicken
This site backtracks domains. It's owned by NoA. When you make a website and you give that website a name you have to pay for that. So yes, they bought it, but notnecessarily from anyone who previously owned the domain, if that's what you're asking.
Still not getting my hopes up. I probably want this game a lot more than the average FE fan and I really don't want to get my hopes up and then be disappointed when it never happens. As likely as it is (tbh i'm pretty sure it will be localized in NA), this sort of thing has happened with games before. :|
Companies do this all the time 'just in case' and to keep the name from others... This is not a bad sign, but it is also not a good sign either. I am still hopeful b/c it is my favorite series. I am just not optimistic (seeing as how few of the FE games been released in the US + that damn region lock)rawsavon
I don't know why people say "so few" of them have been localized. Since they started localizing them (since FE7 for GBA) all of them except one were released outside of Japan.
NTM the 3DS needs more games or its going to stop selling and start getting bad reviews. I'm very hopeful, but I am aware that there is a big chance it won't be localized. I just wish I knew what NoA was thinking...

we have not received the vast majority of FE games we did not receive the latest one on DS the one before that sold like balls (remake on DS) the wii one was not received well either ...all this saddens me b/c I love every FE I have played. But facts are factsrawsavon
we didnt get anything before 7 because there was absolutely no american fire emblem fanbase before roy and marth's cameo in melee.
and tbh, the games wouldn't have sold at all without those guys. the earlier games were not very good unless you were a big fan (the games were difficult (the japanese normal mode is our hard mode), the system was unbalanced and broken, and except for FE4, storylines were not a important thing) of the series since the beginning.
so they didn't have any reason to? by the time there was a fe fanbase outside of japan no one owned the systems that the old games were played on. so don't complain about about something that cant change. you can still play them yourself if you want to, you know.
but i mean that was nearly ten years ago when FE 7 was released?? and every game they did release did not sell super well so we're lucky we even got this much. though, like i said, considering this game is getting loads of attention for vidya magazines it will probably be localized. but if it's not, i'm not surprised.
[QUOTE="Yoweeh"] the earlier games were not very good rawsavon
Almost all of them. I've played FE7-FE12 and finished all of them.
Of the earlier games I've played FE4-FE6. I finished FE4 (fab) and FE5 (eh) and I got bored of FE6 after getting Rei/Ray/Lei whatever his name was. I can't find FE1-FE3 and tbh I'm not interested in playing them.
Still, my opinion doesn't matter. It's your flawed sense of logic that the releases of the older-than-me games have anything to do with FE13.

Flawed logic...rofl. look chucklef*ck, your logic is equally if not more flawed: 1. we have not received the majority of games 2. we did not receive the last game 3. the 2 releases before we did not receive the last one sold like balls...even by FE standards 4. so we don't get any FE's, then we get a few FE's that sell okay, then we get a couple that sell like balls, then we don't get the next one ...see a pattern...and you are calling my logic flawed??? Are you dense? You also claim the earlier games were not any good without having played half of them or completed most of the others...that is just ignorant. Only the exceptionally foolish would give a blanket statement ("the earlier games were not very good") without having the proper knowledge/experience to make such a statement. -if you played them all and said they weren't any good, then fine...perfectly entitled to your opinion -but to make a blanket statement while admitting you did not play half of them is the sign of a fool[QUOTE="Yoweeh"][QUOTE="rawsavon"]

Had you even heard about Fire Emblem back in the SNES days? When Melee came out, Roy's game was just released. His cameo in Melee was only a promo for his game. There are many games that only stay in Japan, besides Fire Emblem. And once again, we did not get them because no one here would have ever heard of Fire Emblem and they probably would not have sold at all, worse than now, where Roy, Marth, and Ike are much loved characters for the SSB games. Why does that bother you? Do you want to go back in time? Unless the older games get remade they will never and would have never been localized over here. It takes a lot more than a few people's decision to localize a game.
And still, those games have nothing to do with FE13. FE6 released in Japan in 2002. That was ten years ago. Since the release of FE7 in the US (the second FE game on GBA) all of the games (that's 7, 8, 9, 10, and 11, five games in total) were released in America.
FE12 (the second one on DS) did not sell very well in Japan either, probably because of the disappointment that was SD, the one before it. Reviews by websites are a lot different than what I've seen of players personally. Considering FE12 was a direct sequel, not as many people were interested in buying it until reviews were released, which also, in turn were actually very good. In order for things to be produced in mass there has to be good profit. It costs a lot to localize a game. Nintendo lost money with the release of FE12, most likely, so why bother localizing the game when SD sales were a lot less than Japan's? It probably wasn't even up to NoA at that point. Why would Nintendo want to release a game that didn't even do well in their land when the sales of the previous did even worse in ours?
FE13 has had a load of promo merchandise for it and the game has sold like hot cakes in Japan. It's gotten brillant reviews that match its sales.
BTW, FE13 is announced for Europe and they didn't even get the second game on DS either. So I don't see where your opinions are based at all? Like I said, FE13's release has nothing to do with the previous games, especially the ones from years ago.
And I've played I've played 9 of the 13 released FE games. These are my opinions of the games, and the ones not released outside of Japan. Sorry they're not worth facts to you because they weren't suppose to be? Opinions are opinions. There are still working copies of the games out there so you can go ahead and play them yourself, bro. I'm just telling you my experience. They aren't going to get rereleased so you better buy them soon if you want them so badly.
That's nice & all, but until they make it officially coming to the states, I'm not getting my hopes high.
