The controls are completeley different to any sports game, it's more like a RTS football game, lets so to pass you draw an arrow of where you want to ball to go
It is only rated A in my opinion no way is it gonna outscore Twilight Princess.chocolate1325Zelda is not a true Wii game. It has slap-no controls. Pro Evo Playmaker on the hand... is totally the contrary. Made for the wiimote from the start.
I just don't think its controls are gonna be liked. Also remember the DS game also scored 90% in Nintendo Official Magazine as well.chocolate1325
Are you living under a rock? The controls have been hyped for the past 3 months every one has been talking about how these controls could change the world of sports games. And it seems they have...

in that case, I'll keep fifa 08
The thing that I like about this game is that they could have easily just released the game in 2007, when the other versions were released, and gotten away with a half finished product.
I'm glad that they took the time to make it right. Some other devs should take note.
Well I hate soccer(or football for you europeans), so I'll be playing SSBB :PAeRo619
Well I hate killing people but I still gun people down in GTA.
...who am I kidding? I love killing people.

I watched enough. I saw that, technically it's impossible to fail a pass, right? It makes the game way easier, so it's made for casuals, I think. But, ok, don't flame me. I'll just keep my old FIFA 07 for PC and I'll not complain more.Thiago26792
Casual? They made the controls more intuative and more effecient. They improved on the system yet that makes the game more casual?

Well, technically "casual" can mean that it's easier. Like a Lay-z Boy is more casual because you just sit there comfortably. I think that "casual", when referring to videogames, can be a good thing if you think about it.
People seem to think that more intuitive controls equals "kiddy" or "casual" (non-gamer). Those people could not be more wrong.

The problem is not in the intuitive control of the game. The problem is that it's practically, if not completely, impossible to fail a pass. It doesn't require much ability to be really good at this game. This can make the game less challenging, that's the problem.

In Wii Sports Tennis the players went toward the ball for you. Did that make it less fun or challenging?

Wii Sports is a casual game. PES needs to be a hardcore game.

Wii Sports is casual. PES needs to be harcore and it doesn't seem to be.

The game is known for its depth outside of the gameplay as well. It's going to be a "hardcore" game. Just because the passing looks "easy" doesn't mean that it somehow makes the game shallow or "casual".
Besides, everyone knows that the wiimote controls aren't as accurate as we were led to believe. It would be impossible to find a way to make the passes accurate through motion gestures. You'd try to "pass" left and it would go backwards. Sports games can't be hit-or-miss with controls, it ruins the whole game. And if they mapped the passing to a button, what would make it stand out from the other versions?
And if you think Wii Sports tennis is casual, try playing the computer on the highest difficulty level.

What I see is the game being more hardcore since it falls all on player skill. If you can't properly place your players on the field it's your fault and not some crappy AI.
