NSMB third fasest selling game of the year!

Mario Sales!

It seems that the title really did great! 550,000 IN ONE DAY is more than impressive.I've had to put it off for a week in favor of Resident Evil, but I can't wait ti give it a shot next week. Good to see the game doing as well as people had hoped. I really still see this as bein one of the best seling games of the entire generation, if the sales of NSMB for the DS is any indication ;)

Great games deserve to sell.

I actually expected it to sell more.

Yeah its not going to sell 2 billion copies in an hour like MW or Halo, but in a few months its sales will eclipse them all on a console by console basis. Sepewrath

That seems about right for a Nintendo game after two days. Sure its alot less than CoD but it will sell more for way longer

That's fairly low and it's easy to see why. Retailers underpurchased.

By 2pm Sunday my town was out of Mario. 25,000 people and only 200 copies. In contrast, game X for any other console got at least 200 and is still around.

People underestimated the Mario and got burnt.

Launch doesn't matter

There was too much money going back into people's pockets for getting it the first week

The real test is going to start once the game is a month old, then we'll see how much pulling power this title has.

Good news indeed, and I'm glad to hear its doing well so far. I'm very curious as to how well it will do down the line, id assume it will continue to do well like others have said if its anything like the original NSMB it should do well for quite a while.

Plus, I'm quite sure that this game will have legs. It'll sell well far into next year at least.Arc2012
