One question.. Why would you expect anything from Nintendo's Online Service..? Online is Microsoft & the 360's department...kingsy_the_oneexactly, i'll be happy with the few games that will go online with the wii that are decent. I don't want an overflow of them like the 360 would have (in my opinion).
I'm with you man, but before you sell it remember that the Wii is a great party or social game system. Go on xbox Live for some good online gaming. I'm not going to hold my breath waiting for reggie to make up his mind.seriousdan74Yeah... I think the Wii is more for people who actually like to play WITH their friends, you know.... face to face....
Well right now online doesn't seem like it will be one of the Wii's strong points but I personally can't wait till some good online games come out. I don't care about friend codes, really.
Your choice though
Another bash from Bahu_Yuki. And this time, you've bashed something that was predictable to start off with. The only thing the FC codes affect how you can interact the with online gaming community. I don't see how that can affect the entire future (and current) wii library or stuff up your console.
Then again, maybe you sohuld sell your wii to someone who is much deserving of one...Â
well, i think you made a Bad choice.
Stick with it.
The wii will never have good online, it will be Sub-par at best, but i didnt buy the wii for its online, i got it for the New way of playing.

QFT. It is my main reason why I'm buying my Wii. But Super Smash Bros Brawl is the only game I want to play online and even without to be online I would buy it again.
All I can say it's a pathetic reason. Oh well, Wii did outsell both the 360 and the PS3 this month and it's not online yet. The PS2 did not win the last gen with their online plan which it was mediocre. I prefer a no online console over a mediocre online console and I'm not an online gaming fanboy.

It will be more fun to play SSB:B with your friends in person then online. It's true!Sorry you made that decision. Hopefully your Wii can go to someone who actually appreciates it.BloodTorment1agreed. every system isn't really for everybody, especially if you are limited on funds. Hope you enjoy whatever else you get or have though.
[QUOTE="schu"]the thing that most of the people who posted in this thread dont seem to realize is that nintendo PROMISED to take online seriously this time..and they are not..except for the vc because its such a cash cow..KittyKatDefine seriously....
He's right. Part of E3 2005 was dedicated to Iwata saying how important online is to every console next-generation (that's now current-generation).
FC are an isolated system and truly suck. However, playing with random people over the globe or nationally can still be done and I don't see how FCs are such an issue in regards to instant-online fun. Â

It's true! true, but what makes online good is being able to play with those friends if you can't be in person all the time.Deserving eh? Where you online at Nintendo World on Nov. 19th? Staying in the cold from 1AM to 8AM? Talking with the staff of GoNintendo.com all night? Did you buy any Wiis for your friends and family members?Another bash from Bahu_Yuki. friends codes arent that bad..but they dont even work in each game..each game has its OWN set of friends codes..i dont know if this will ever happen but i really hope that nintendo gets rid of friend codes and perfects online so this is gets screwed and so i can have funjakefolkand why can you not have fun with friend codes?

It's nice, but i use PC games for that. With the Wiimote it seems more driven to be a face to face type console.... and even their commercials point at that.... those dudes drive around to people's houses to play. Online is great to download games and extras and whatnot, but i don't think it will be a huge component, but hey, they may in the future. Right now i just want a nunchuck. For online gaming, PC is the place to be. I don't care if every console is online, and would prefer they avoid putting too much into it.... just bring out good games, that's all.[QUOTE="jakefolk"]i dont know if this will ever happen but i really hope that nintendo gets rid of friend codes and perfects online so this is gets screwed and so i can have funkidrock17xpand why can you not have fun with friend codes? because the friends codes are useless, you cant even use them in games, each game has its own friends code
Sorry folks there's only so far I can go with Nintendo. I can understand the lack of HD, I can understand the lack of Dolby Digital sound. Hell I can even take the fact the graphics are Gamecube. But the Friends codes nonsense is the last straw. Many of you on here know how strong I've felt about the Wii and truthfully I really will miss it. The Wiimote is the future and I will keep a Wiimote to play my games on PC. But this treatment of online...I've had enough.Good riddance.
Goodbye Wii, I hope in time your parent company will actually treat the Wiimote with respect it deserves.
To all of you I've befriended and argued with, I wish you all the best in your future endeavors. I'll be on Xbox Live, catch me there.

have you even tried it yet. i thought it would be terrible but ive played alot of wifi on my ds and its not bad at all..... its not like you have to enter them everytime you playeven. The voice chat is another story though.
Didn't you sell your 360 for the Wii? You look like a lost child or something...
Why don't you get a 360 for online gaming and a Wii for the Wiimote? Get both.
Yeah this isnt a surprise from him, but anyway you people really really need to stop believing everything you read, especially when this has not been confirmed by Nintendo. Some so called rep from gamespy is hardly the place to go for information, you would be better off getting your info from Wikpedia.Another bash from Bahu_Yuki. Wow, just wow. For all those hours you put up trying to nab a wii console on launch, and you're throwing it away for cash simply because you don't like their Friend Code system. I understand your frustration, but it's MAKING YOU SELL THE CONSOLE. So many great games on the horizon, such a bright future. When I mean 'deserving' I mean 'someone who will enjoy, heck even cherish, the console for its high points and not let some shallow one-trick pony reason hinder the entertainment value of the console'.

dude, you're foolish.
you're selling a system for online.
wow, i don't think you give a **** about gaming.
give your wii to someone who'll appreciate it.
that is a bad thing to sell it for.
i don't know what your problem is.
infact i don't think you really own a wii, but whatever. if you do cool,... your loss.
your serious loss.
