Even offical nintendo characters look cooler then this. I mean Kirby looks way cooler then this character. Dont forget link,zelda,ganadorf,mario and etc look cooler then this character. Plus the character looks lame for an rpg game.

The battles look awesome, and the overall gameplay stuff looks fun, but I do agree with alot of people.  The character designs are odd and unattractive and the graphics power simply sucks.  If you look at the way Wind Waker pushed the Gamecube the graphics on the Wii which is supposedly an upgrade looks like a generation down.  The textures are terrible.  They both try to achieve the same cell shaded look, but it just seems like Opoona isn't trying.

 I think this could be a great game, but not many people will want it just by looking at it.  Unless the graphics and character designs changed a bit, this game could be overlooked.

Then everyone gawks and says how awesome and cool the character is when Square has been pushing the same character on people for almost a decade now.

Dude to be honest if the main character doesint intrest me why would I spend over 20 overs on the game. If I dont care about the character and/or he doesint look interesting I cant play that game for long.

Dude not even is just this character looks very very lame. Iv played with all kinds of characters and I must say this one looks very lame. The earthbound characters look 10X better then these horrible characters.

I would be interested if it wasn't a RPG... I don't like that genre.

Obviously this game will have crossover problems. RPG fans don't seem to like change, judging by this thread... they have to have an effeminate-featured hero with big exaggerated, spiked up hair, an upturned collar, and a deep look in his eyes... and a sword that's 11 1/2 feet long.

 On the other hand, platformer fans think the game looks good, but don't like the idea of the turn-based RPG fighting elements.

I guess I fell into the second category more than the first. I'm not much of an RPG player, but I do enjoy the occasional platformer and can appreciate "cute" characters because I'm past the age where liking something cute is a threat to my "coolness" or manhood. I'd give the game a rental at least... looks kind of fun to me. I used to like RPG's when I was a young 'un, but they all got so repetitive I kind of came off them. If they actually did something unique like this I'd be willing to try it out.

It actually looks quite awesome. At first I thought the story was a little TOO weird, but that actually looks quite neat :)

It should play like Crackdown (since they have the same graphical style)

Its important to me because I dont want to stare at a character that I think is pretty dumb looking for about 20+hours.
