Paper Mario, a 8.8?

Nintendo needs to raise the bar and either add tight Multiplayer or do better with there single player only games so they can bump up to a 9 or above. They have 1 game Wario and thats it.

If you think Zelda deserves a 9 or above, think again. I own it and it was disspapointing, it felt like I was playing my PS2 with the sketchy graphics, Windwaker was better. After playing Elder Scrolls Oblivion, then playing Zelda dissapointed me BIG TIME. I havent even beat the game yet because I feel its a waste of time over Elder Scrolls and all the expandable Downloadable Content and kick A game play.

I have never played a better RPG in my life. The dungeons alone are a lot better to play and much more rewarding.

PLease dont go comparing elder scrolls to zelda just because both have dungeons and such. Its like comparing donuts and wheels, shapes being similar but only one being edible. 

Really people put too much into reviews around here anyway. So someone else didn't think it was a 10. Big deal. Truth is I'm not one of those people who really keeps tabs on whats games are coming, with the exception of a couple game series. I hadn't been following development of this game for months, or years. I heard about it a few weeks ago, and decided I'd wait till it was out and add everything up. Reviews, how it looked to me from the pics, and what people I know (Or even people on the boards) were saying and make a decision. I never even really made it to any of the reviews, or what you guys were saying. I looked at clips of it, and the pics and it looks like it could be a fun game. I decided I would get it.

Then I saw the 8.8 and thought to myself "damn that's pretty good"... Maybe I just see it different. I already know I want the game, so maybe that's why. But I seriously think an 8.8 is pretty good.

Of course I don't think as much of the ratings as allot of people on here so whatever, but I'm telling you when most people see 8.8 out of 10 they think that's a good rating.

Here's the thing: 8.8 isn't a bad score.

This is the problem with user reviews: people tend to review GOOD titles, based on prior editorial reviews. Thus, user scores are greatly inflated. People see an 8-9 as "disappointing". A 10 shouldn't come around everyday and a 9 should be extremely rare as well.

If people got it into their heads how the rating system worked and maybe even read the whole review, these problems would be averted. In fact, we should just abolish numerical ratings entirely, they're rather pointless.

I'm not done, but Super Paper Mario is pretty good.  But Nintendo could have done more.  But look at it this way.  Had Nintendo added more to Super Paper Mario we would have had to wait longer.  That means more complaining about having nothing but crappy ports to play.  Plus, had they added multiplayer, the score would have been lowered for no online. 

And the Paer Mario games are known for single player.
