playing a "child's" game...does age matter?

am i the only one tired of people on here who think they are superior because they don't play "childish" games like pokemon and feel the need to insult those who do?

"omg, get a life" i was told because i play a pokemon video game.  ok, so pokemon is for children...well, it can be argued that video games in general are for children.  many people i know have that view...

what is wrong with adults playing games because they are fun and bring back childhood memories.  it's just a gateway to some relaxation when the rest of your day is full of "adulthood" stresses of work and responsibilities.

who cares what kind of game it is?  video games are for people of all ages and they can play any game they want.

Some people just have problems with their manhood.

I'm not going to knock you  for what you do . But lets be serious at 25 playing mario is ok same with a yoshi but pokemon at 25 is str8 pathetic. The game is directed toward little kids. And no video game has changed and alot of them is directed towards adults(re4,gears of war etc..) Were you the only adult on line when buying Pokemon>? If so that should have let you know its a childish game.  Final fantasy is stupid and all but it still is alot more mature than Pokemon.

To be honest I think the charecters are geared toward children but the game it self is more mature.  As in it is a pretty deep game, although i dont have this game or a ds but i think i might pick one up soon.  Just have fun man.

Hey, play a FF game first, then you can judge it. And regarding pokemon, the anime is a childs program but the game is a

highly rated rpg, so i suggest you grow up first and then you can start thinking you're mature, because you're just pathetic.

since you asked...NO, i was not the only adult to buy this game.

i guess all the people i know who are in their 20's and OLDER that play pokemon are just little kids like me.

Although I am only 14 i still understand what you mean completely. Video games are awesome and i know tons of adults that play video games. For instance runescpape(i hate that game) i used to play it and id say most likley about 1/3 of the people are 20 or older maybe more than 1/3. It is a childs game. Just because somebody says there is something wrong with the game you play and age you play it at doesent mean its imature or your too old for it, that is somebody elses opinion. I play a lot of games on all console/handhelds.  As far as I know I only get 1 life and If I want to spend a few hours now  again having Fun! playing games then I will.  I am a mature adult but do not feel guilty or ashamed at being in touch with my playful side.

Age does not matter, if it did games would have -18 pg ratings instead of +18 pg ratings. And i'm pretty sure that day will never come!

i remember, once, i brought a box of action figures to my bro's (age 20+) office. They all pretty much stopped working to play with them. It was just really retarded. but funny at the same time.

well i really think that the important thing is having fun and enjoy your games... Honestly I don't like pokemon but is not for being a "child game", I played blue, gold, and ruby and I see a litle of diamond and is always the same thing: go and cach pokemons, wining medals, beat the team rocket (or whatever) figth the elite four, the end... and I'm a litle bit tired of it

In other hand I played rocket slime and chocobo tale and I have to said thaht, so far, maybe these are ones of the best game that I played on the ds (with EBA and MPH) and they are qualified like "child' s games"...

My point is that is not important if the game is childish or mature but to have fun with... if I' m playing resident evil or hello kitty island whatever does not matter and does not matter what people who think that they are "to good" for those games said 

by the way I played touch the dead, a game for mature people and it sukcs!!!!!!
