A mod is the only one who can close topics. We just have to let it sink down to the bottom, and hope no one bumps it. Good luck with your team!

once again great team. but warning you arenow water weak atm.
vaporeon can take out all your pokemon except vaporeon
gyarados after a dragon dance can KO everything
suicune after a calm mind can cause serious trouble.
kindgra will be troublesome as well.

because of this I seriously recommend getting hidden power electric on vaporeon. therefore I really recommend removing one of your water weak pokemon like aerodatyl since im assuming its only real job is getting rocks out. I would evenpick swampert over aero imo. provides the stealth rock and defenses your team needs and can roar.

AHHHHHHHHHHH NOOOOO!!!

i should be thanking you but i though i had finally got my team over and done with!!!

Ok i see your point... kind of, i guess i could teach vaporeon HP thunder but won't Gengar with thunderbolt do the job? maybe not on DD Gyarados. A Crocune can't do anything to my vaporeon, the same doesn't go for me but vaporeon will not pose a threat to it, i guess HP thunder would help alot there (an offensive suicune would be a huge problem) Kingdra also would beat me up badly.

Swampert to replace Aerodactly? I guess it could work since I am not using a team that will be damaged too badly by stealth rock (which aerodactyl will stop the opponent using, most of the time). The only problem is that if i face an Infernape as a lead (if i do use swampert it will have to be a lead) it will absolutely destroy me with grass knot and i will not get a chance to set up stealth rock but i guess that is just a worry that i will hopefully never have to worry about.

If i do use swampert i will use the Mix Pert build (found on smogon) but would it be better for me to use a focus sash rather then leftovers?

I guess i do owe you my thanks for brining this to my attention, so, THANKYOU!!! =]

mixpert definitely makes a good stealth rocks user (its my current lead). focus sash shouldnt be used on him. swampert is bulky and has good defensive typing, the only things that are going to OHKO him are things with grass moves (which are very uncommon in the metagame). mine usually takes 2-3 hits before going down.

The thing about DDGyarados is that once they dd they're kinda hard to stop... Which is why it is wise to use something that can either take a hit..., stop it from dding or revenge kill it.... Vaporeon with hp electric will wall it and kill it with hp elctric unless stone edge 2hkos or crits and ... :( on the other hand, you could add a revenge killer to your team... like jolteon.... (although with sr up gyarados is slightly less of a problem....) BTW gengar is NOT a counter becuase it dies in one hit from a boosted well ANYTHING from gyarados and it's slower after one dd and a positive speed nature... Swampert is a great lead.... Except i don't think it'll do well against infernape's grass knot... not sure and too lazy to do damage calcs...

yh like its been said unfortunately gengar can not take down gyarados since usually by the time you switch gyarados has already dragon danced. so yeah hidden power vaporeon is a must. dont go with focus sash on swampert since like wet mop said apart from grass attacks swampert is never OHKOed by unboosted attacks. you have the perfect infernape counter vaporeon. and with those EVs infernape CANNOT 2HKO without nasty plot so if you see an infernape lead you can simply switch striaght to vaporeon.

yeah, a DDgyarados, could wipe out your team... I guess gengar with t- bolt could do the trick... but meanwhile the rest of your will be KOed... Kingdra IS a REAL threat, also Palkia... caould u teach aerodactyl d- claw? i dunno.. your choice...

Okay... Gengar is not a counter for DDGyara... I already said that but meh... It will only be a counter if Gyarados was switched INTO it! NEVER GONNA HAPPEN!!!! (unless a misclick...)
Otherwise most gyarados will outrun it after 1 dd and kill it with anything... Palkia is banned in standard... And yes Aero CAN learn Dragon claw but that doesn;t mean it should... It doesn't help with it's capabilities and I think he made the switch to MixedPert already... Again I'm gonna recomend HP electric on Vaporeon... (I STILL LIKE PORY2!!!!! (No one else does though... but it's soo useful...)) Your Vaporeon will handle most Kingdra but beware of Draco Meteor... Unless said Kingdra is on a Rain team where there will probably Ludicolo.... Whatever, make sure you put HP Electric on Vaporeon.

ok i will do, only problem is the time factor, gonna take ages to get a vaporeon with wish, then with right nature, then with right IV's lol but never mind its all part of battling.

Yes i have replaced aero with mixpert, can't be bothered editing OP though =0 LAZY!!!

Dont get me wrong, I think porygon-2 is awesome. Its much more bulky than z and counters certain powerful pokemon like crazy (salamence, jolteon, heatran). But the only thing is apart from gyarados and kind of vaporeon, porygon2 doesnt really help him as much because his other team members can deal with what porygon2 counters.
