Pleasent Surprises

The other day I picked up The World Ends With You for $20 in a huge bin of games at the store. I saw it near the bottom of the pile, and I dug through it to grab it. I had heard it was a good game, but I wasn't expecting it to be as good as it is! It's probably one of the best games I've played in a while, and I think it may be one of the best DS games of all time.

Anyone else pick up a game spontaneously and been pleasently surprised by how good it is?

Scribblenauts. I will spontaneously fight through the line to pick it when its out and i will be pleasantly surprised of how good it is. (and i`m expecting to be, lol). :P

I hardly buy games on an impulse, I always read reviews do research before I buy any game

I picked up Feel the Magic XX/XY for five bucks, and didn't expect it to be as fun as it is. Really short but really funny and enjoyable

Mystery Dungeon: Shiren the Wanderer :D

Rhapsody a Musical Adventure. It's just a simple RPG, but it's one game that I played straight through without getting very bored or frustrated. It is a decent budget game.

Same here, unless it's a huge series like Mario and Luigi or Kingdom Hearts (which I plan to preorder both of, already did with KH)

Well I didn't pick it up spontaneously but I agree with you 100% about The World Ends With You. That is the best game I have ever played. It is amazing. The characters, gameplay and music is simply unmatched.
