Pokemon Diamond and Pearl + DSi error

I just recently bought a DSi ans have previously played Pokemon diamond and pearl on my DS. But now when i put them in the DSi and go on them the screen goes black and the message "An error has occurred. Press and hold the power button to turn the system off. Please refer to the Nintendo DSi operations manual for details." appears i tried the games on my ordinary DS and they work fine but this happens every time i try it on the DSi. I have tried with both versions
pls help.

Sounds weird. My copy on Diamond works just fine on my DSi. Are you having similar issues with other games on your DSi?

i have checked all of my ds games and out of all of them (there is alot) only pokemon diamond and pearl aswell as a zelda phantom hourglass didnt work. If it is any coincidence i got all three games together from an ebay seller. They are from america and i own an pal Astralian dsi but the region shouldnt have any effect.

It's possible they sold you illegal(bootlegged) copies... The dsi recognises them better than the old ds(lite) and won't play them. That's too bad for you man.

ow ok if this is the case then i can still play on my bros normal ds shame tho. I reckon they did sell me illegal 1s cus the manual was abot dodgy it was just a gamespot review printed out into booklet form and stuck in the box lol.:D

These business men, always screwing with us, I mean, it's fine if they announce it's bootleg and they sell it at a cheap price but when they sell it at the original....tsk tsk tsk

My Pearl works fine... I have no clue.
