Key notes:
Shaymin sky form. Looks like some Pokemon will be transforming
My japanese is wack but, this is not your ordinary port
This topic is locked from further discussion.
Shaymin will automatically convert to Sky Forme when sent over to Platinum and will stay Land Forme on Diamond & Pearl
The Torn World, positioned above the Spear Pillar, really utilises the 3D engine of the game and has the lands in a 3D isometric view
There are various other new areas positioned in Sinnoh for you to explore
[QUOTE="Blazevoir"]well the game is made in japan and its pronounced Platina. Platinuim everywhere else. I will call it Platina. I think this will have some pokemon having new forms. New areas,etc.ECG_24
If your going off that you might as well call Pokemon "Pocket-a monsta" because that's how it's pronouced in Japan. The Japanese language is different. Stop being ignorant.
Hmm..ignorant...sounds like you're being a bit arrogant to me.

No, I just think that people should try to provide the right information about a game, not how they want it to be.
It maybe called Pokcet Monster in japan but everyone says Pokemon there. Blazevoir
But you said

Blazevoir
Anyways, it does look like an average rehash...new area, new forms for two or three pokemon...redesigns of the main characters....all has been seen in previous rehash...
You started it! I pronounce it the way I damn will please and that is Platina. okay? okay then.
Blazevoir
We all know your going to be another one, you're all like, "I hate the English name! I'm going to call it the Japanese name always!" and then, what do you know, a month after it comes out, your forgetting about all this and calling it the English name like your used to from playing the game. Gawd.

Well he is right that they do call it Platina in Japan but your overall comments make you sound like a jerk to be honest. Also i don't really think it matters how he or anyone else says it as long as the information he is showing is correct.

Ever since I was a kid I was saying it the way they say it in Japan.
[QUOTE="awssk8er716"][QUOTE="Blazevoir"]It's Platina. ECG_24
Uhh...no.
Thank you! I don't know why everyone was defending someone who was so blatantly wrong.
how am I wrong?! It cleary says right there PLATINA!!
EDIT: A little more info
Okay it's called platinum.
Giratina and Shaymin have new forms. Origin form and Sky Form Respectively.
There is a new area called the torn world that has a 3D isometric viewpoint.
THe character's are wearing warm clothes because the climate has changed in Shinnoh
the 2 new characters are trying to figure out why the climate has changed.
I will call it Platina
That is what you said but then after you said this.
[QUOTE="Blazevoir"]

You said that you would call it Platina but then the next comment you called it Platinum, why is that???
Platinum is a metal, and used in objects such as jewelry (to keep it simple). If anyone actually took the time to look up the word Platina, they would see that it is a Spanish word that means "little silver". Platina was used to describe Platinum originally, in its pure form when it was discovered. Platinum was created from the word Platina. Therefore, calling it Platinum or Platina are both correct. Platina would be the more scientific way, if you look at it. It's all about preference, and where you live as well. Saying one is right and one is wrong, is the true ignorant act here. I'll stop now, but I found it to be necessary so everyone would stop and just talk about the game. I prefer Platinum because it is the term I know since childhood, not because it's considered correct by some.
As far as Pokemon Platinum is concerned, those scans aren't that impressive. I'm not trying to be a downer, but it doesn't look like they've done a whole lot from advancing from Diamond/Pearl. Yeah, they have changed and added some stuff such as a new town and evolutions, etc. I personally didn't think Diamond/Pearl were huge advancements in the Pokemon franchise, but maybe what I am looking for will be in the next generation, if they make one. I'm not asking for mind-blowing graphics or anything like that, Diamond and Pearl simply didn't seem to step-up as expected from Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald (and LeafGreen/FireRed). I say that in regards to comparing the capabilities of the DS to the GBA.
I will most likely buy Platinum, only because I traded in Diamond after I beat it. I simply didn't find myself as attached to Diamond as previous versions, so maybe the extra content in Platinum will warrant a purchase and keeping it this time. Don't get me wrong, Diamond and Pearl weren't horrible games; it just didn't strike a cord with me.

myols
What do you think they need to do to make Pokemon better? It does seem like it's the same but it's always fun, but I am looking for a change.
You people are talking more about the NAME of the damn game rather than what the topic suggests. Haha.
Anyway, I am not impressed. I'm really sick of the way Pokemon is turning out. I'm 20, and still play the games. Ruby had to be my favorite, but even then it had gotten obnoxious. The original Pokemon were thoughtful and creative (the creatures). And now, they just seem to be pulling ideas for new Pokemon designs out of their a$$es. Seriously, does anyone think the newer Pokemon look simply retarded? They put no thought into it.
"Okay, let's take a brontosaurus, some bananas, and a palm tree. Oh, and put wings on it. We'll call it Tropius. Tropical saurus, get it?? Harr harrr, we're the best."
That's how I see it. I miss the old Pokemon designs. Especially the starter ones. I don't wanna use a monkey, penguin, or a damn turtle that looks like it has down syndrome. Sheesh. I REALLY want to enjoy the new ones as much as I used to but I find it very hard. The characters look stupid, too.
They need to make a full-on 3D RPG Pokemon for the Wii. That's how I see it. The DS has a lot of possibility but they don't utilize it correctly.
Anyone agree with me?
I meant that in say example in the USA it'd be Pokemon Diamond. in JPN it'd be POKCET MONSTERS Diamond. But, people usually don't say Poket Monster they say Pokemon. Anyways I think this may turn out great. That cool out of this world looking area looks promising.Blazevoir
And in the US it would be Platinum, so by your logic, its platinum, not platina. You're contradicting yourself
Anyways, I like the new 3d/areas. Its breaking the slow moving barrier of DS graphic inferiority
