"As investigators searched the home for drugs, some drug task force members found other ways to occupy their time. Within 20 minutes of entering Difalco's house, some of the investigators found a Wii video bowling game and began bowling frame after frame.

While some detectives hauled out evidence such as flat screen televisions and shotguns, others threw strikes, gutter balls and worked on picking up spares.

A Polk County sheriff's detective cataloging evidence repeatedly put down her work and picked up a Wii remote to bowl. When she hit two strikes in a row, she raised her arms above her head, jumping and kicking.

While a female detective lifted a nearby couch looking for evidence, another sheriff's detective focused on pin action.

But detectives with the Polk County Sheriff's Office, the Auburndale, Lakeland and Winter Haven police departments did not know that a wireless security camera connected to a computer inside Difalco's home was recording their activity."

Public officials aren't supposed to play video games on the taxpayer's dime. Also, just because police arrest someone does not give them permission to use the suspect's property for personal benefit. This is an ethical infraction, and every single police officer involved in this scandal should be terminated. They have no right to be employed by taxpayers after engaging in this sort of behavior.

Public officials aren't supposed to play video games on the taxpayer's dime. Also, just because police arrest someone does not give them permission to use the suspect's property for personal benefit. This is an ethical infraction, and every single police officer involved in this scandal should be terminated. They have no right to be employed by taxpayers after engaging in this sort of behavior.

I wouldn't care if they played my Wii without asking, as long as they didn't break anything (or replace what they break), took care, and had fun, then it's all good in my books. Too much care in the world about property and money.People just gotta relax.

i've conducted a lot of searches and i can't say that i've ever done anything like this, but it is getting blown a little out of proportion.

While there's nothing wrong with team building outings(in fact, I'd encourage it in this line of work), there's something very wrong with doing it during a drug bust with the suspects property.
