I love it if they did that... As long as it's a new game made for the Wii, and not just a port of one of the PS2 games (I wouldn't mind GTA4 being ported, but I'd prefer an exclusive with the Wiimote in mind while making it).
It sucks. I'm 13 and my parents won't let me get any GTA games :(Â Â !!!!!360player
Honestly, bud, not to be a prick but I'm glad. It's the parent's responsibility to keep mature games out of the hands of immature gamers. The fact that there's too many parents that don't care or pay attention to what their kids are playing is the reason there's such a backlash on mature games. If kids were't playing games like that there's would be far less ammunition for the people that speak out against violent video games. Tell your parents I said "thanks" and to educate other parents in your neighborhood to do the same.
Again, I'm not trying to flame you or anything... might not seem like it now but you'll be old enough for those kinds of games before you know it.

AGREEEEEE!!!!!!Â
I personally think grand theft auto is overrated (and i have the games)
They are great games, but definately not as good and "perfect" some people say...
I liked gta 3 the best personally, I thought the story was way better (and more believable) than the newer ones...Â
I voted for the "I don't care for this series" section in the middle because I personally do not have an interest in the games, but I think it would be great to see GTA on Wii. It would attract more players and create a more diverse offering of games. I also think it would help break the proverbial"Mature rated titles on Wii?" ice (along with Manhunt 2) and more publishers would put mature titles on Wii.
I could personally care less if GTA ever made it to Wii though.Â

That may be for the better. It's not intended for people your age.

just bcus were not mature(18 years old) doesnt mean we cant handle the content. i've played plenty of violent games i'm not trying to immitate it in real life and tbh honest nudity/ sexual content in games dont affect me at all. trust me if someone wants to watch that kind of stuff they dont need videogames, its easy enough.

Yeah, but parents have to allow it or not. It's not like they are machines programmed to spoil our fun, they're clever enough to know what we can handle or not and I'm sure (well, at least I hope) this kid parents aren't just acting as Jack Thompson is ordering.
With realistic stabbing motions? No thanks. I don't care if people think the Wii is a kiddy console. You and I know the deal, and apparently a growing number people worldwide do, too. I honestly don't think they have to take on something like that to boost their sales. Mature gamers are already being catered to with Godfather and Manhunt 2. GTA'll just sully the Wii's current reputation as a family/everybody console. Perhaps I'm being bias; I never liked the concept of GTA. Great soundtrack, though.Â
If Wii offers a more realistic way to play, I'd rather no-one play GTA realistically. Â

But if you like The Godfather or consider it a good game you have no room to criticise GTA.Â
fact: Nintendo has suffered in recent years largely by a lack of third-party developer support.
not since the days of the SNES has the big N been in such a great position to cultivate new and nurture existing outside developers. a diverse IP catalogue can only help in that the whole idea of "true mass market appeal" and is realized only by providing solutions and IP offerings that appease the tastes of anyone and everyone.
in my personal opinion, i think the GTA series should be made available to Wii users and i feel as though i am not alone in this way of thinking. take-two and rockstar stand to make a lot of money with a Wii iteration of GTA given how large the installed Wii user-base already is, and they know this. honestly, i think it's just a matter of time before we see something - provided, of course, that manhunt 2 (a seeming multi-layered litmus-test, of sorts) proves successful with regards to sales.

AS has been said a million times already I am sure but... If this series moved to the Wii it would be goodin many ways.
It would showdevelopers that M games can be on the Wii and work out just fine because I am sure this game would sell very rapidly.
It would show developers that there main franchises can work and be successful on the Wii (I see this happening with Soul Calibur Legends leading the way. Although a non-spin-off would be much better).
Other developer might start bringing in more "hardcore" games that help keep the Wii's "harcore gamers".
The franchise is fairly fun to play...it may not be the best game out there (not even close by my standards) but sometimes I find it fun to just sit back and blow stuff up (I still perfer Mercenaries for this though).
Of course most all of that depends on how successful it would be. If it wasnt successful it could do the opposite.
Overall I wouldn't really be the first in line to get it but I would wait a couple months and then get a used version and just play through that.

Im 13 and I can get GTA games....
But im not the type of gamer that trys to react something I see in a game
I definitely wouldn't mind seeing GTA on the Wii. If Rockstar can make it work, I'd be more than happy to pass up on the more graphical 360/PS3 versions to play it on Wii.
As for Nintendo, this would be a good move on their part. If they are serious in attracting the more hardcore gamers, this would be a good start.
