Hi, my wife normally loves puzzle games and also enjoys RPG's if they are simple enough (she just finished Golden Sun). This game looks perfect for a present for her, but I'm worried all the spells, town traveling, menus, etc. that I've seen on Youtube might make her lose interest because it's too much to just pick up and play. Is this the case, or are the different game systems easy to pick up in puzzle quest without too much past experience playing complex RPG's?

Thanks.

You're wife's not an idiot. Puzzle Quest shouldn't be too smart for her with all its fancy menus and matching colors.

lol

Okay, Golden Sun is not a "simple" RPG. And since Puzzle Quest isn't solely a RPG, I really don't think she'll go nuts. Honestly, it sounds like the perfect game for her.

If she LOVES the old Bedazzle/Bejewel game (lining up gems in a row to get points) she'll love this one. It's part Bedazzle part rpg. One of my current favorites. Yes it's got spells and stuff, BUT it's not hard. There's a really nice review of it here at Gamespot. Just type the name into the search tab above and check it out.

If she just finished Golden Sun - she's my hero. That was a tough game.

Another one she might fancy is Rune Factory. I just finished that one.

It sounds like your wife should be able to play it. The game only gets frustrating or hard when you choose a class that doesn't suit your style or when you are just using the wrong skills. It's a lot of fun, just give it to her and see if she likes it.

Take it from a lady who has the game. At first it was a little too much becuse i never really play RPG's but after a while i got the hang of it.

If she can finish a whole RPG game then it will be easier to her than it was to me.

I say buy it for her since she likes puzzles and RPG's just make sure she loves BEJEWELD (sorry for the spelling) becuse the game is basically Bejeweld with swords and nights, i bought this game just for that reason so i should know.

Good luck and its awesome that your giving hera NDS game as a present!! =)
