I am going to guess that, with the fact that the Wii basically "turns into" a Gamecube while playing GC games, it won't affect the speed (or lag) of the black hole. I'm not sure, but I don't think the Wii works like that. That is, I don't think it speeds anything up at all.
i'm also not completely sure, but i think bob is right. i believe that when you play a gc game, the wii emulates gamecube hardware, so there is probably no improvement.
i would also like to know the answer to this question if anyone knows for sure.

No, the Wii IS Gamecube hardware.
There is no emulation whatsoever when playing Gamecube games.
I've heard that before, but I do not believe that the Wii turns into a gamecube until someone gives a correct technical explanation. I mean, it doesn't have the Gamecube hardware plus the Wii hardware, so there is no way it can "turn into" a gamecubeNachician
Serious? you dont see your wii change shape into a gamecube, it does the whole transformers thing with switching around parts and everything! jk, but i think that over the years, the technology for the gamecube has gotten way cheaper, and small enough to fit into a compact space, and since the wii cant emulate a gamecube game, it just switches the gamecube hardware and that takes over.

There is not specific gamecube hardware on the Wii.

You're looking at it the wrong way
Was the PS3 the same hardware as the PS2? No, but the ones with the Emotion chip allowed 100% backwards support
Same principle with the Wii.
First of all, PS3s with the emotion engine didn't allow 100% compatibility, it could actually have minor graphical glitches. And even if it did offer 100% compatibility, I can't see how the wii has the same principle.
EDIT: But... Then again, Ati and IBM could have constructed both Processors with the same architechture so it would work on the Wii. Also I have to go to sleep, lol.

/threadHas anyone tried this glitch on the Wii? Does it slow down? I thought that, since the Wii has better hardware, it may not slow down as it does in the gamecube.Nachician
the only reson why it slowed down on the gamecube is because you did the glitch wrong. Don't set the items to very high or it will slow down. you have to set it to low or even very low. if you make an infinite ammo gun, you only need one!
and since there's a "gamecube inside the wii" then this glitch will work exactly the same if you play it on the wii or the gc
ya i did it with myfriend 3 times
it took 20 minutes to get
it froze my wii twice
if you get it make sure you dont use the reflector shield by it or else falco will get stuck as well
