Just a question, if ssbb were to have on-line play, how would they include the unlockable features (such as characters)?

no and im a huge nintendo fan and if the wii doesnt see online play afte those games thats outright bs. i love games online and to be thats the only downfall of the wii. i wish super smash would be online but ofcourse its not. i mean they have had online gameplay since like 1997 since the dreamcast. i was surprised to learn that there wern't any at launch let alone waiting like 6 monthsJlobel

I hope you're not trying to say the Dreamcast came out in 1997.Â
It would be imposible for OOT to have online play along with Castlevania and Final Fantasy. Their just single player games. Their stories can't handle it. For an example Super Smash Bros and MP3 are capable of being online but Super Mario Galaxy isnt. You might see where im going with this.SuprLuigiYeah I just realized they were single player games as well, But yes I want SSBB to be online, I even wanted SSBM to be online. but yeah I was just trying to make a point though.

                    Ok.Â
Ok guys lets look back to games without online play , Look at LOZ : OOT did it have any online play to it? No It didnt but it was still fun, Castlevania : Sotn No online play, still a great game, Final Fantasy VIII Had on online play, and it still was good as hell, It does not take online play to make games better, Not unless the game itself was designed for strictly multiplayer, Now of course everyones gonna say *Im sorry nintendo is going to have kiddy games* Well No duh its nintendo, theirs some higher rated games that are T and M, but the rating of games doesnt mean its going to be any better at all. So what if the games are kiddy? what if their fun? So what if its 4 players and not online? If you have friends that doesnt really matter. Some games are much better online I agree, but not all online games are good.Theirs many great games that dont need online play at all to make them good.EndlessPunisher
Yes, but times have changed, and so have the standards for a console's and a game's capabilities. Online adds potential infinite replay value in games, and Nintendo needs to realize this obvious change in the industry. Also, online does not have to mean "Deathmatch or Capture the Flag" for single player games such as Ocarina of Time. Look at what happened with Oblivion, a hugely expansive single-player game that has no PvP modes, but possessed amazing online content that added tens, even hundreds of hours to an already amazing experience. Imagine if you could download some sort of new island or costume for Link in Twilight Princess, or access a new character in Super Mario Galaxy 3 months after the game comes out. That's what im trying to get across.
