I was wondering, I have a Nintendo Wii it used to turn off instantly when I pushed the power button, now it takes a second or so. Is this normal?

Are you turning it off by hitting the Power button on the Wii, or by holding down the On/Off button on the Wiimote. It always takes a second to turn off my console when I use the Wiimote method.

No, I push the power button on the console, not the wiimote.

yeah a second or 2 is normal for the Wii turning off, using eiter the controller or just the power button so no need to worry mate
