Zelda Twilight Princess: Waggle wii remote to slash with the sword.
Wii Sports Resort: Hold wii remote over head, your sword is held over the head of your Mii, slash wii remote diagonally, your Mii slashes his sword horizontally.
How can you not see the difference. It's awesome and allows for tactical ability.
I can't really remember, It's been a while since I've played Zelda, but I'm sure the only thing it really senses is the direction of the horizontal slash (left to right, or right to left), and possibley vertical slash (from top to bottom). Nevertheless, defending and attacking in Wii Sports Resort is much more tactical than Zelda TP could ever be (in terms of swordplay, ofcourse). Sensing every degree of your slash/block.
In twighlight princess 'wagglig' isnt recreating your exact moves on the screen. Cant the swordplay and Zelda be easily done without it (i know resort isnt compatible wthout motion plus), the sensor can pick up movments to lash in different directions without motion plus, surely?Voyleymotion plus gives the wiimote 3 extra gyroscopes. that gives the wiimote the 1:1 accuracy you once expected the wii to have. the motion+ captures not only every single movement you do (try the air sports in wii sports resort), but the intensity of the move is captured with more accuracy. if you had swordplay without the motion+, it would be a series of horizontal and vertical waggling that would often be captured wrong.

How are the air sports in wii sports resort? I think that's what I'm most interested in, in the game. I have yet to buy WSR yet.

Whats the big deal? It just gets over sensitive and fiddly when taking it on and off. I played resort (great party game, best out there) and could no see the immediate effects.Voyleylol, your serious that you played that? and didn't see the difference? it's like watching a DVD beside the blu ray version and saying you can't see the difference... yeah appart they may look similar, but when you go back to the DVD's it's foggy... especially when trying the same film

try playing disk golf on tiger woods pga. If you take off the wiimotionplus while in game, the frisby is jerky. put it pack on, and it becomes smooth again. compare wii sports bat vs wii sports swordfighting. And look at wii sports resort archery. Those probably cannot be done without wii motionplus.

omg! you might be infected with ignorance! :o
Really? I struggled to tell the difference with Grand Slam Tennis and then I played with just the Wiimote. It was really over-sensitive (it had to be because of the imprecise sensors) and it struggled to tell the difference between hard and soft shots. With Wiimotion+ I am the king of drop shots. It doesn't feel over-sensitive like the Wiimote, which at the start makes it feel like its worse or something because you're so used to doing over-the-top movements to get them to register.
Seriously though, if you can't tell the difference between Wii Sports and WSR then you have a problem. The Sky Diving demonstrates the technology perfectly. It's true 1:1 control.
Why did you make like five topics with pretty much the same title..?
Also, how dare you question greatness.
I actually really like the Questioning Greatness threads that have been popping up. Whether hes doing it to bash the Wii or is just playing Devils Advocate for the sake of discussion, the threads show the Wii Forums opinion on whether or not the topic being discussed is great or not:P
well, it's better than what the DS forums get (recommendation, pokemon, help me, pokemon, pokemon, pokemon, pokemon, pokemon...)I actually really like the Questioning Greatness threads that have been popping up.
