I'm getting a HD LCD TV in about a week or 2 and I'm getting some component cables for the Wii. I was just wondering if any GC games that use component cables would work with Wii component cables. For instance, the GC version of Burnout can be played in 480p, so If I buy the cables for the Wii could I play Burnout in 480p on the Wii.

First of All, playing Burnout for GC is sad, because they only got two Burnout Games. The PS2 got the most and best versions of Burnout (The Xbox got more as well).

Secondly, as a Wii/GC owner, I have noticed the $50 I spent on component cable for my GC, and the $40 I spent on the Wii have been a very, poor investment.

I have had a great HD TV for quite some time (That's why my GC had Component), and thru the years NOT ONE PERSON has ever noticed the resolution, EVER.

Save your money for games, because it really is pointless.

The difference from 480i to 480p is POINTLESS...but, yes, it should work if you do it.
