Note... i dont have a Wii.

First off....Excatly how much movement can the gyroscopic sensor in the Wii-mote.....sense? Full articulation of an arm and wrist or is it more limited than that?

Second.....Is the sensor in the nunchuck attachment ....the exact same as the one in the Wii-mote?

The remote can sense tilt and motion in any direction.  The nunchuck doesn't seem to be as sensitive as the remote, but it's hard to tell since I don't have any way to measure that quanatatively.

The remote doesn't have a gyroscope in it.  It has computer chips that detect motion and measure tilt.  The tilt sensing is very accurate, the motion sensing seems a little less accurate, but I can't tell whether that's because of hardware limitation or software.

The wiimote uses an accelerometer to detect motion. From what i can tell from playing it, it is quite acurate, but slight movements dont do anything, however it may be detecting these, just developers program the game not to do anything to stop slight accidental movements causing anything. As for the nunchuck, it does seem slightly less responcive, but this may just be because you generaly hold it in your left hand, so you cannot controll it so easily. If you want more detailed explanation of how the wiimote detects motion, wikipedias page on it is quite good: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wiimote
