If you're a regular on the boards or on IGN you should've heard or read about either me posting a couple of topics regarding this, or reading up on IGN about projects that they know about, that they cannot tell you.

Well they gave out more very vague clues about them in the latest issue of N-Query. I'd really like to read what games you think IGN Wii is hinting at. We've been perviously hinted that one of them is a FPS, one of them is resurrected franchise from the pressumed dead (Punch-out??), and one or more of them are from third parties, built specifically for Wii. Here's the paragraph: "

NiGHTS and Mario and Sonic at the Olympics were two of the games in question, yes. However, there are a few more and one in particular has the potential to be bigger. It all depends on how the company approaches the title. If it goes ground-up and really maximizes on Wii's capabilities, it could be huge. There are additionally a couple of other games that appeal to the hardcore crowd and are designed specifically for Wii, but I don't think I can even give you a hint. I'll ask if I can slip something out there in a Hot or Not topic in the coming weeks. Maybe."

My guesses: Geist 2, Punch-out Wii, something from EA and a crazy Japanese game.

My reasoning for Super Punch out was the inclusion of Wii Boxing (but lacking polish and depth) and the boxing boss-game in WarioWare. I think Nintendo have quite a soft-spot for boxing. Hopefully EA will come out with Fight Night too.

As for Geist 2, n-space has been too quiet - we know they're working on two 'mature' projects for Wii, and I'm curious why there's been nothing from them since. If Geist gets a revamp in gameplay, gets an online mode, takes full advantage of the wii hardware, I can't see why not it should be hyped over Mario and Sonic.

Games like F-Zero, Star Fox and Mario Kart seem like 'too' obvious in terms of choices for IGN to hint at.

I'm also hoping for a Unreal game fro Epic, or maybe a game from Valve. Valve have actually opened up to Wii, and I'm excited by that. If Valve and Nintendo decided to band together on one super game, I can't see why it can't a contender for 'game of the decade'. Valve's pushing of technology and innovation + Nintendo's polish and thinking = most immersive game ever?  

Shenmue 3!!!! Skies of Arcadia!!!! Hmm... Chrono Trigger!!!! Castlevania?!?! Not sure what other franchises can really get the hardcore group riled up.

Unfortunately, IGN said in a previous podcast, that it ISN'T Kid icarus Wii, although I wouldn't be suprised if somewhere in the future the game would be unvielled....

I'd like to see Joust on Wii. This'd have to be a minigame, though. Can't see many people shelling out $50 for that.

Maybe Balloon Fight is coming?

FPS?? hmm.... I'd like to say Half-Life... but if its brand new then who knows.

We'll see I guess, but IGN has been Hyping the Wii unknown stuff like crazy the last month or so.  Matt better be right.

That's a good point you made. Which makes me inclined or hope to think that Epic or Valve are doing something on Wii. Then again, they port engines acorss systems, so maybe it's just cocky thinking. Hmmm.......

Source is definitely possible on Wii (although it'd take some work being a Nintendo console) but it'd take the online to the test. How many players could Wii support? I can't imagine anymore than 16 without hideous amounts of lag - and that could just be within the region.

Pikmin is almost an obvious, it's a question of 'when' not 'if', and I hadn't thought of Ic Climber for Wii. There's no word on it, but if they totally overhaul and revamp the gameplay to accomodate for 3D and the wii controller I can't see why it wouldn't work.

Wow, another possibility. The Wii does need an exclusive bike racer.

Hopefully Vavle comes in with either Half Life, Half Life 2, CS 1.6 (it can defietly happen), CS Source, Garry's mod (god title)

If anyone remembers, in MGS3 (forgot what part), if you do something, there's a dream sequence with a minigame in it. If I remember right you're a samurai killing zombies in a burning area, or something like that. And it graphically looked different from MGS...more stylized (I may be remembering this totally wrong, correct me if I am).

Maybe their game has something to do with that? MGS, zombies, stylization? Something from Kojima, Mikami, and Suda. :P Maybe I'm just trying too hard here.

As far as the revived series goes, even though someone said something about a Kid Icarus wii not happening, it must eventually...I mean, he appeared in Brawl out of NOWHERE.

Kid Icarus would be awesome! But I really wish they were talking about Earthbound, I know it isn't a dead series but they haven't released Earthbound games around here for a while!
