Well, No- On eBay people put "RARE" on just to make people buy it, thinking they've got a bargain, It's just a common gimmick. ;)
lol.. k
but are there any true rare games? that are worth buying?
Game_Druggy
well, I hear Advance Wars: Dual Strike is very hard to find, new OR used in Gamestops and EBs. You either have to check out each one or browse ebay. And though I don't own it myself, I have not heard a single bad thing about it. And I know of people who have clocked in over 200hrs playing it, hehe.
it really depends... some games are just old so obviously they're not in stock at franchise stores while others were just produced in little quantity... technically that makes them rare... but not really worth buying. oh, and dont trust the EB and Gamestop website, if you're looking for something just head out to the store.. they make mistakes alot.
but you should really be supporting your local NON-FRANCHISE game store. Game Craze, Game Players Unlimited... s*** like that...
megaman battle network 5and phoenix wright is nowhere NEAR rareNintendoWarrior
Are you sure? It took me forever to find a copy, and it was one of only two copies left. Maybe I just have bad luck...
I'd say Advance Wars is pretty rare, as you can never find it at any retail store.
Don't buy DS games just because they are rare(?). First of all, there is no way to know for sure if they are really rare or not. And second, I can assure you that even so called "rare" DS games will not sell for whole a lot. Third, game collecting is really a serious waste of money and I recommend a different hobby. How about old stamps?TleeBlue
Lol, how is it any worse than collecting stamps? People have what they like, you cant tell someone they shouldn't like something because YOU don't think it's worth it. Some people collect vinyl records, some collect figures, cars, it's what they like to do, you do not now how much pleasure THEYget out of doing these things. Leave them alone.
advanced wars huh...
i picked it up like 2 weeks ago..

yeah theres two advance wars tho, days of ruin and dual strike... so in case yu didnt kno ;)
[QUOTE="Master_Saibot"]Diddy Kong Racing is pretty "Rare". Get it? :PPinkyimp
Ladies and Gents, bad joke of the day!!! *applauds*
lol ya, so phoenix wright is no longer rare?
There's two definitions of a rare game:

I'm partial to agreeing with Ellimist314 here. I recently bought Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney on eBay because I couldn't find it anywhere else.
Note we're talking about the FIRST Phoenix Wright. The 2nd (Justice for All) is floating around in stores a bit still, but not by much, and the third one (Trials and Tribulations) you can find pretty easily in most stores.
And yeah, I'm in agreement with most others here. Just cuz it says it's rare doesn't mean it's good...likely just hard to find. And if you want to know if it's hard to find, then look for it retail and see if you can actually find it to compare the price. No point getting ripped off cuz you didn't do your homework...)
Electroplankton is rare.summer_star17x
I can't even find it on play-asia. I've looked everywhere except Ebay, since the prices are crazy
It's cool to know that evry game called rare on this thread is a game I own. Electroplankton was the second DS game I ever got. Spide Man 2 was my first. I think I got Electroplankton for around 15 bucks from my uncle's store.
Oh, and I seen the very first Phonix Wright game at a Wal-Mart about 3 days ago, about 8 copies.
Whats a dead thread ? and more importantly who are you to tell me to do anything ?godsgamesI guess that is directed to me. Sorry if I sounded rude but this discussion had originally ended August 18 2007. By you posting, it had brought it to the front page of the forums. The person who made the topic probably doesn't need any help anymore. Bringing "dead threads back to life" could be considered spamming.
