I always start my time at a game store trawling through the used games. In a lot of cases, you can find some great games for cheap.

Over the weekend I was do my thing and found Hotel Dusk ($25) and Castlevania:PoR ($17).

I was glad to make the finds. These aren't the most rare games I've ever seen, but I certainly don't see them often and couldn't imagine that anyone would want to part with them.

I also picked up Beyond Good and Evil and Timesplitters 2 because I heard good things in the past and they were pretty darn cheap.

Do you guys go to the used section first? Ever find a rare gem in there and wonder why anyone would abandon such a great game?

I never look at the used section. Well not that often. I'm a bit of a paranoid kind of guy, and I get paranoid thinking of used games, because you don't know if they did anything previous to the game. Plus...I always get the idea that it won't work once I try out the game D:

I've never had that fear or that occurance. I keep receipts though. If I buy a used game and it doesn't work. I'll bring it back.

I lok through the used games all the time. it seems with the DS if it's a year old it can be hard to find. As for good finds I got Dead to Rights for the game cube for only $5.

Used sections are a regular stop for me. Although at places like gamestop, the used are usually 2-5 bucks less than the new version. So if the new one is still out, I usually pay the extra couple bucks and get it. I have definately found some good ones in there though. Kirby Canvas Curse for $18!

I hardly ever buy new games..
I buy second hand on the internet. In the Netherlands we have a great site besides ebay, which offers a lot of secon hand things.
I bought like 95 % from my game collection from that site.

I saw 2 copies of Advance Wars Dual Strike in my PlayNTrade, but I didn't want to buy it because I'm not into strategy games. But yeah, the game is a rare one to find, isn't it?

It is as it's out of print, not being made anymore.

That's how I found my copy, used.

I've seen elektroplankton once for like 35 dollars, the price is not important because it's quite hard to find. I'm looking for Beyond Good and Evil for a good reasonable price too.

To people that don't like buying used games, gamestop has a 30 day guarantee, if it doesn't work bring it back, simple as that, I know cause i work there, and no Im not a jerk. Most gamestop employees our but our gamestop treats people nicely, anyway I got a copy of Tetris DS, between that and Elektroplankton they are like the 2 rarest ds games,

Animal crossing wild world has become quite rare now (I am in the UK however)

Also, the used sections in game stores are the best!

Yeah I will browse through the used section at Gamestop. Right now I'm kinda torn on whether or not to get Advance Wars: Dual Strike for $30 used at a local gamestop, I already have Days of Ruin. What do you guys think?

I don't usually look at used DS games, unless I have $20 on me only and I feel like getting a new cheap game.

I always look in the used Xbox/PS2 game bins though :D

Dual Strike is almost a whole different game from Days of Ruin (except for the fact that the strategy elements are almost identical). The game has different units that were taken out of Days of Ruin, it has the war room, hard campaign, tons of COs, survival mode, and a "battle mode" where you use a unit and move around the maps and capture cities/destroy units in real-time.

It has more content than Days of Ruin (although both games are amazing and have different strong points to them), and if it's only $30 it's a MUST BUY!!!
