i dont thing so, i rather PS2 version or even the gamecube one, i just dont get it, why they remove the violence from it if the ESRB is mature?felipegarroWhat are you talking about? Decapitating someone isnt violent? Theirs no difference between the Gamecube and the Ps2 Version, Only thing different on the Ps2 is they added extra content and lowered the graphics. The Wii still has as violent and gory stuff to it as before, The WIi has the extra content Content and the better graphics. (And one extra gun). .... Unless you live in Japan(Or wherever else they censored it).
but in gamespot review sayd they took away the violence, and with that i mean the VIOLENT DEAD like being decapitated by the chainsaw, they also took away manyyyyy points in meristation just for that
i mean, gamespot says that in the wii version u CANT get your hear cutted out by a chainsaw, u cant get your face melted down, u cant get cuted in 2 pieces

That's interesting. My copy seems to have tons of violence. Must be a glitch.

Nowhere in the review does it bring up an omission of ANY kind.

It is true though. Japan did have some of the gore sequences taken out (like some of the nastier deaths). And don't get me started on Germany. The edited the game so much it's hardly recognizable.

The Japan version was very well censored, I know as a fact.. Because I watched some Japanese gameplay footage, before the Wii version came out, and Leon did not get decapitated, when he got chainsawed.[QUOTE="EndlessPunisher"][QUOTE="Jaysonguy"][QUOTE="felipegarro"]but in gamespot review sayd they took away the violence, and with that i mean the VIOLENT DEAD like being decapitated by the chainsaw, they also took away manyyyyy points in meristation just for that

I'm pretty sure that nothing was taken out, but I read somewhere that they were considering taking out the times when people's heads explode from either the Japanese or European versions. I don't think it ever happened, though.

dont know but when i read it the score was 7.1, probably gamespot just noticed of the japanese version that end describes, check out meristation.com and u will find out it say they toked the violence away...but its probably for a mistake
and why would i make this up? i love RE, i love wii and i love the violents dead in RE4

Maybe thats the case then, all I know is they did tone the *** Vers down a notch in gore.so i should buy it?
oh and other thing, guys,no1 is perfect, not even gamespot, this site gets wrong many times like all the others, when tomb raider the last revelation ended they toll us lara died, when it wasent lke that, gamespot could make the review of RE4 i watched based on the japanese version
Don't block and deflect. GS didn't make a mistake. Nobody forced you to go by a Japanese review.
Resident Evil 4 is a great game with tons of violence.
Happy?
Resident Evil 4 is anexcellent gamefor the Wii.
I had never played this game on the other consoles. I can't imagine playing it without the Wii Remote. This game was meant for the Wii, and you can probably get it for about $ 30 new.
As far as violence is concerned...
I've killed enemiesand been killed by themin many truly horrifying and disgusting ways (including the face melting and chainsaw decapitation). There is no shortage of violence.

The Score is 9.1
but if your from Germany or Japan, the game is toned down in the violence department.
Also, when does leon's face melt? ??

I think it is when the invisible bugs that the midget guy sent after you (Can't remember his name) grab you from above and spit down the acid onto you
u know now that i thing it, i wont like this game cuz i have it for ps2felipegarro
The Wii version is leaps and bounds better than the PS2 version.
no matter, metroid is best, i helped that guy, its like zelda TP, it dosent worth to sell it for gamecube and buy it for wii just because have the wii mode, there is no rent sistem in this country, no, i rather buying umbrella cronicles, i completed re4 like 7 times and unlocked all weapons, but i already maded up my mind, hey mrdzie, you really look like a RE newbie, im a real fan of RE and i ditn like it RE4 as much as everione because the gameplay was drastically changed, lol u seem like my cousin, he things that pirates of the caribean 3 is good just because u swing ur wii mode to figth,LOL i already realized RE4 sucks, no matter the version, RE4 suck, it losed the RE stile
my calification of that game is 6.0, it just make me sick to hear that u like it cuz the wii mode aiming feature
I'm not an RE4 guru but I have played quite a bit of RE, RE0, and RE4. Plus I plan on buying RE5 the day it comes out. Newbie is hardly the correct term.
And seriously, take that bit about RE4 Wiiout of your sig because you haven't played it.
yeah i also watched that on my PS2
i havent play it, but i have played enougt games with the kind of aim RE4 uses and i really dont look that "innovator"
How is this topic still on the front page after this many days?
The thread creator had the wrong info, he thought that Resident Evil 4 for the Wii was watered down because he read the wrong review. It's not a huge deal, we all make mistakes.
Now everyone (including the thread creator) knows that he was wrong because of misleading information and that it's the best version out.
No biggie.
Is it good? The meaning of "Good" is wholly subjective. Critics argue that Resident Evil 4: Wii Edition is a "Good" game, it is well structured, has good graphics, immersive gameplay and also retains significant replay value. In my opinion, Resident Evil 4: Wii Edition is an excellent game, but again revisiting the subjectivity of taste, you may not agree with my opinion.

but it is better with the wii too aim you're just angry cuz you have the ps2 version and the wii versionis just better in every way
GC Graphic + PS2 Extra Content + a ton of violence + wiimote control = Wii Eddition is the best version it is simple as that
I know the last post in this thread was a while ago but I was just wondering why on earth did the TC ask if the game is good when this: 'NEVER buy RE4 wii version because it sucks' is written in his sig. :?

He got mad that people told him he can't say he doesn't like Guitar Hero if he's never played it (which he said he hadn't) so he just started not taking any advice from those people. When said people (myself included) told him that RE4 was really good and that the US version wasn't edited he flipped and said that RE4 Wii is bad (based on playing his PS2 version). He hasn't played RE4 Wii version.
