RE5 on Wii not as impossible as one may think.....

its defintely a first day but for me if it came out,i poted a topic of this a few weeks ago,and i agree,it can be done if capcom stopped being so lazy >=[

Of course it's possible on Wii. Anyone at Capcom saying to the contrary is just spouting PR.

look at ps2 version of re4 ,,, impossible is what many claimed before it were announced,,, remember wii has an advantage that 360 nor ps3 have,, motion sensing .. add that plus bonus content and it will be a go .... just like they did with re 4 on ps2 mariokart64fan

To be honest I don't want RE5. It looks like an action game, and there are plenty of those announced already. I want an exclusive horror RE game for Wii. Face it, the Wii just isn't that great when it comes to multiplats, it's the exclusives that really shine.Head_of_games

It'll happen but how it'll happen is the question, I think after RE4 and UC were million seller hits we deserve RE5 to be the best possible co-op gameplay with the finestaudio/visual experience a Wii can provide in 480p but from recent experice they may do it on the cheap and we'd end up with a game that plays exactlylike RE4 but looks and sounds like Code Veronica (not a dig at CV but it has aged in those areas). The producer did say he wants to do Resi on the Wii but at Capcom Unity one poster highlighted some of his wording pointing out we may get another UC type game.

From what I've seen of RE5 it certainly is possible on Wii. I think Capcom are only saying it isn't possible to hype their game up. RE5 runs on a modded RE4 engine. A lot of animations from RE4 are re-used in it. Bare in mind that RE4 didn't max out GC so its nowhere near the graphical peak of Wii. Wii has a faster CPU/GPU and over double the RAM that GC has so if the engine was optimised for Wii we could get a bigger and better version of RE4, which is pretty much what RE5 is.

I'm not saying it could be done with no sacrifices because its simply not true but it certainly isn't impossible. RE5 Wii makes a hell of a lot more sense than Dead Rising: Chop Till you Drop anyway.

They should not remake it for the wii, they should make an all new one. If not we will likely get a chop till you drop RE game that will not sell and capcom will think (becuase all devs do, as stupid as it is) the wii crowd won't buy mature games. There is no excuse for the crappy support for the wii from capcom, both RE games they made have sold over a milloin and yet they still drag thier feet. They are sitting on a gold mine and can't see it. With RE5 not even trying to be a horror game, read IGN's review, they could make an actually scary REwii game that will appeal to those of us who feel alienated with RE5 and while RE5 sells millions, the REwii can sell millions more! But what do I know, I am just a guy who has spent thousands and thousands on games so i can't know what will sell and what won't :roll:

imo... we can expect a future RE in Wii.. but RE5 (the same game that is going to be release in 360/ps3) i doubt it. Why? well... imo... i repeat... imo... they would not make a game (of such a famous series) with "out of this world graphics" and then go down on graphics to be able to release it on the Wii

NOTe that i`m not a graphics fans nor a 360/sony fan... and that i may get a 360 mainly for RE5 :( so having this for wii would be GREAT!!!

first of all, whoever made that fake box art needs to stick to their day job. That was horrible.

And second, why would we want RE5 on the wii? I guarantee it would be a watered down port and a disgrace to the original RE5. Capcom should make an entirely new RE adventure for the wii rather than a subpar ported game.

i can't believe ppl voted no!!

There are a few reasons why I would not want the new RE5 on the wii. Argue as you with them, I do not care.

1. The targeting system, it made targeting way too easy, you could hit enemies from long distances away because of the indicator. I want the laser sight back, screw reality, it is a game, because of the wii mote they flipped the twilight princess around, pointless programing in my point of view.

2. The controls, I would like to see the action cut scenes with different combinations, then just shake the wii mote and push a and b. It would make it a little more tense, and scary, I haven't been scared of an RE game since I played the first one when it came out. I also didn't like the quick slash.

3. I feel that the wii mote could be so much more, but no one tries. When I first heard of it, I thought you character would move his hands or arms in the way you moved the wii mote. Sadly I was very wrong.

Any other way, I will probably get RE5 no matter what system I find is best. If the wii is cheapest and it hasn't be made easier then I will get it for that. When I say cheaper I mean the system and game cost, as the most recent system I have is the Game Cube.
