Dont get me wrong this game is amazing all around in 2d, but once you turn on 3D mode OMG !!! framerate drops, super jaggy edges and the images overlaping each other is complately unplayable.
Why ??? I was so sure to buy it.

I disagree. I think it looks great. I actually prefer it in 3D, and I don't think it is bs 3D either. There's a depth option within the game menu, as well.
The 3D looks like the same as 2D. I hate it when people just have two 2D images overlayed on each other like that. Characters look flat and not in 3D at all
I found it better when you went in options and made the 3D level "strong" or higher. For me it worked perfectly and looked amazing. Normal seems to be just the same kind of 3D effect, but the strong and higher levels really look amazing. The 3D looks like the same as 2D. I only turned it on to see what it looked like--skipped cut scene/etc. Controls could honestly use some work.
I wanted to try the 3D just because I've been ignoring it since I bought a 3DS.
Looks great to me. But everybody is different. So yeah.
Maybe the Circle Pad Pro will improve it?I only turned it on to see what it looked like--skipped cut scene/etc. Controls could honestly use some work.

I don't know. The design of RE4and5 is just dated. It is playable, but it does feel clunky.
These are the settings I used:
Aiming Controls: Gyro
Aiming: Third-Person
3D: Very strong.
I was quite pleased with the game. Very fun and intense, amazing graphics, and the controls are intuitive.
This really doesn't have much to do with this conversation but anyone kind of puzzled by the limited number of times you can play the demo? sure its a lot, it just struck me a weird.ekalbtwinYes and no... I thought it was unusual, and yet at the same time they make sure that eventually you will HAVE to choose to buy the game, which was smart... still, I dont think anyone would just play the demo over and over rather than buy the game
I'd say about the same, but with better looking environemts due to not being as open. I haven't seen any models looking like crap from distances either, like they do in Mercs.Does it look better, worse or the same as Resident Evil: Ther Mercenaries in 3D?

god bless you for posting this, as I didn't know you could change to third person aiming... this saved my life, I was really getting fed up with FPS perspective while shootingThese are the settings I used:

The 2D does give it better anti aliasing, but I left the 3D on I really liked it. I never noticed a framerate drop though, also I felt the 3DS made me be a little more scared. Both ways work though.FPS1337I noticed a framerate drop when you enter the room with dining tables and stairs.

The game is amazing and looks amazing! Though I did not know that you could go into settings and change the 3D depth/ strength. I think I will do that when I play the demo again.
3D > No Jaggies.
I played on "Strong" 3D effect and I loved it. When I turn it off the graphics look so smooth but when I start moving around something feels wrong. 3D is really addicting to me.
^ This. I've never really even liked Resident Evil that much, but damn. Changing the control settings made a world of difference for me, too. The third person perspective combined with the "Very Strong" 3D mode? I don't think I've ever seen that strong of a 3D effect in a 3DS game - well done, Capcom. Well done.game is amazing

same here i thought the 3D looked pretty awesome! i was very impressed being that these graphics seem to surpass all other portable systems' capabilities! i felt right at home playing cus it was so much like RE4. i will be buying this one day 1I can't say I'm having the same experience. The 3D looks fine to me :?

Yeah I'll be playing with the 3D turned off personally, looks better in 2D. Great game though and it'll be the first RE I've picked up in ages (definitely buying it). I love that it's nearer to the first game in the series, tense horror type gameplay suits the series so muchbetter than run and gun. Definitely works better on a handheld too.
It's no more expensive in the UK than other games so I wonder why the US is paying more!?
i thought the demo was amazing (atleast it blew away my expectations)
the only thing i really didnt like was how sometimes the 3d (which makes me believe the seudo-3d method was taken that a previous poster said, cause i had the same problem in rayman 3d) effect messes up and it looks like ur looking at two seperate pictures; one for each eye, and it feels like ur crossing ur eyes.
i cant focus on the screen when this happens and it looks horrible, and the worst part is it happens rarely (or only under certain conditions), likes its gonna be over and done with... until it happens again.
