I am not worrying about anything until I know more about it.

When i firstĀ 1st payed RE4 on gamecube i thought it was the greatest games ever. it was such an improvement on a old overused idea of resident evil.then i heard the announcement that there was a RE game coming to Wii and i was pumped i thought of all the things goodĀ about RE4 then thought about wat improvements could be made to make this game even better. a few weeks after that i heard that the game would be named Resident evil: umbrella chronicles............I was pretty pist off to say the least. why would capcom take a step back. the Reason RE4 was soĀ dam good was because RE0, RE, RE2, RE3 and RECVX all used the same enemies the same gamplay the same camera the same story and it was getting old. why would they want us to revisit these things again. and i dont think that that the RE4Ā camera angle and gameplay will work because if your fighting Origional RE zombiesĀ  it wont be as satisfying to kill, youll have to go back and burn them andĀ their heads wont explode like las plagas. the same old stuff that was great for 5 games but i dont want to do it again when there is this great alternative gameplay thats already been created. Wat i want is a new story line that incorporates Las plaga, same camera, gamplay etc. id ont really want that much changed but i definently dont want to chronalogiacally go throgh wat weirdĀ stuff umbrella did for 10 years.

Please post your thoughts, agree dissagree with wat i said. and tell me wat you want in the RE game for the Wii

My WORRY is that the game is not taken seriously be the developers. I hope because it uses parts of the old resident evil games that it doesnt encourage lazyness by the devs and make a stupid quick buck game...however Capcom has always made good visuals on its RE games and like someone earlier said in this forum the remakes on the gamecube lookes fantastic with out a doubt so even those visuals r more then fine by me. The gameplay WILL be different from old because it just wouldnt work since its using RE4 aiming method. Capcom know fun and i have confidents in them... also Capcom know best how powerful the gamecube was (many actually dont realise this) so they wouldnt underestimate the Wii's power!!!

i felt zombies were more scary than gandos.. i didnt think re4 was scary at all... didnt care for the story.. i love leon dont get me wrong... re2 kicked butt!! When they made RE1 for psx they didnt know they had a super seller on there hands and they kinda just threw a game together.. then it sold so welll so they made 2 with more story... 3 tried to fill in the gaps and then code veronica was where you could see the story slipping. Going to europe to stop umbrella once and for all was ok but the atmosphre wasnt resident evil at all. Then resident evil 4 totaly took what resident evil was away. NO zombies? are you kidding me? thats like having a super mario bros without freakin mario!!! Dont get me wrong I love the controlls for RE4 but for anyone to say they dont want capcom to go back to the roots of Resident evil or what RE is all about then there not realy caring enough about the story in the first place. I actualy hope RE4 just fades away and RE5 brings back the RE Glory! Gudgeing from the teaser they are going back to zombies so woohoo!

Well, just because they weren't called zombies doesn't mean they didnt act like zombies but with a little bit more intellegence.Ā  The la plagus or whatever moved slow, and pretty much acted dumb like zombies through most of the game.Ā  I thought RE4 was great, and it was fun to explore and the cenematics were great, the boss battles were great, and it was a long game.Ā  And those crazy zombie things with the things inside them that you needed infrared scope to kill, those seemed pretty zombie-ish to me.

They will have a hard time topping RE4.

I completely agree with you, RE4 didnt feel like a RE game at all. Sure there was maybe one or two very short parts that scared me abit but nothing like the old games. I really hope Capcom sit down and think about what they are doing with this game before they butcher it into something completly different.

Yeah I mean its one of my favourite games of all time, definitely the best thing Gamecube had to offer in my opinion. But it just wasn't Resident Evil, it had no survival concept at all just action with very few ''scary'' moments. Not to mention the lack of true zombies (the argument for the Plagas is sound though). However the series is still pretty mild compared to Silent Hill series and Fatal Frame/Project Zero 2. The only way I can play it is to start a new game on pro with default everything for that extra edge of danger.

I'd really like a mix of traditional gameplay with the new approach, like Resident Evil 4 was meant to be back when there was another mansion with ghosts coming out of the paintings (that also took a step in a strange direction but the gameplay looked awesome).

We don't have enough information to be griping about. We might as well start talking about what we think is wrong with Super Mario Galaxy 2!
