Rock Band on the Wii?

Why hasn't this been confirmed yet?

The Wii has lots of casuals who would eat this up. And it's not like the Wii couldn't handle it. Guitar Hero 3 on the Wii has better online than the PS3 version, so online wouldn't be a problem.

Why wouldn't they put this on the Wii?

they probably are. somebosy asked the dev. and they couldnt confirm or deny. so its possible we see rock band 2 or just a port of it on the wii

It's even coming to the PS2! I mean that doesnt even have online and it still gets it! WTF? If it comes to Wii, I'll just but the disc and use my Wii GH3 controller. Save money!

All indications are that a wii version will occur a few months to six months after the release of rock band. Btw a number of the peripherals are delayed.

It has to come. Look at how many systems the Wii has sold. They'd be stupid not to do. However, it does make sense that it's not coming out this year. The Wii doesn't have enough storage space for downloadable content, a huge factor of Rock Band. Nintendo's online service hasn't been around for long, so testing it out to make sure it can handle Rock Band is a issue to (Guitar Hero 3 has the same issue, which is why the Wii won't have online service at launch). Don't worry; it's coming. Soon.... I hope. :?

Read the previews especially shacknews. PS3 has less online modes then the wii version. What the wii version lacks is the dlc and the developers comments indicate that could come months after launch.

umm.. why ? RB's guitars are special. They have 2 sets of buttons, and what about the mic and drums ? huh ! what about those !!!!

I wouldn't count on it. Developers have this mental block where they think they can't make money on Wii because a few horrendous 3rd party "efforts" managed to sell horribly.

Apparently, they weren't notified that they needed to put effort into their games for them to sell.
