Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor Question

I have a pal version Nintendo Ds lite is it compatible with NTSC Ds games like the original DS or is the DS lite region specific? I ask because I want to import Shin megami Tensei: Devil Survivor

DS is region free, I import DS games all the time

Devil survivor is one of them and it works fine

Ds is region free. I have a LOT of imported games and didn't have any problem
