In my oppinion i think they should start releasing game for gc on the vc. Wich doesn't make sence right now to most of you guys, but would be a great idea since they stop making games for the gc. Also on top of that there are still alot of game's that i wanted to play on the gc that i could not find in stores cause of low stocks. What basicly im trying to say is that sooner or latter it will be impossible to find games for the gc.(its like trying to find more game for the sega dreamcast in store)

I just wanted to know how many people agree with me?

PS. if you do have some knolege about the topic, let me know.

there are doubts as to whether or not disk based game will ever make their way to the VC,  odds are some might (segacd, possibly saturn)  but dvd based systems like the cube will most likley never be on the vc. at least not until there is HDD support.

regardless,   I dont think it makes much sense.  not for this gen at least.  cube games are still everywhere, they arent hard to find, and there is full cube BC in the wii as it is.   offering downloads seems kinda silly.

I have never had any trouble with games bought of ebay, and if it doesnt work, and you have trouble with getting the seller to refund you, you are covered by ebays buyer protection.

GC games would take up far too much room on the Wii, so unless there is HDD support in the future, then you wont be seeing any GC games.

There is alot of speculation that they may release a HDD for the wii, but even if they do, I cant see GC games being released on the VC

If Nintendo could send you an update over the internet that would increase the size of the Wii's memory, that would be quite a trick.  You've been watching too much Star Trek.

That would be so cool, they could teleport extra memory into the wii!!!!!!

Since one disc can contain 1,5GB of data would you only be able to save one game. Resident Evil 4 wouldn't even be possible since it's 2 discs.

Worse than that.  The Wii only has 0.5GB of storage space.

maybe if they made some kind of superduper mass storage memory card with like 30 gigs on it.... it would be possible... even though... you could only store like 10 games on it :P

Add in the bandwidth costs. Past cd-rom format games can be heavily compressed down to just a few megabytes or fourty megs. They didn't have modern compression programs. They may be able to send small gamecube demos or original games that are say 40-50 megs that when clicked on kick in a special program to run the vc memory instead of look for a gamecube disc but that would have it's own share of hurdles.

Even SD cards wouldn't be able to hold the games; they're just too big. I know you say "in the future," but GC games are still easy to find, and more importantly, the Wii is fully backwards compatible with the GC, so they'd never put it on VC. Now on a future Nintendo system, that's possible, but I can promise you that you won't see it on the Wii.

they should make the classic controller compatable with gc. I kept all my GC controllers for BC but I recently bought a classic controller and its got all the features of GC except rumble and a kick ass d-pad. this, along with gc mem cards and the n64 controller pak issue should be possible with a firmware upgrade right?

There's no need for a super-duper storage device, isn't that what the disc drive is?

Amen to that.  The way I understand it, there are major technical hurdles that prevent using the Classic controller for GC games, but it would be great.
