The game gets a little boring imo but come on for 20 You don't even pay for the whole game. I think that's a decent buy.
I really enjoyed it! I thought it was ok until I cleaned a dam and whales and fish started flying over my head in funky cool colors, after that the game had me hooked!
I don't want to sound like a downer, but I feel nothing but frustration when I play De Blob and this is coming from a platformer fanatic. You basically jump around town painting objects by touching them. The more points you get from doing this and side missions, open new areas or icons that allow you toadd colour to a different area. There are 3 major problems that I have found with the game.
1) each level takes about 1 hour to complete with no mid level saves. Sometimes I don't want to be forced to play a game for that length of time
2) I find myself hopelessly lost in these levels because most of them look exactly the same.when something new opens up, I spend way too much time trying to find the location and the levels are timed. I don't hate the time mechanic, however. It's just frustrating when I'm trying to find my away around more than half the time.
3) the jumping mechanic is very touchy. You useaWii remote flick to get your character tojump. I find myself having a lot of trouble with the jumpingespecially when your character sticks to walls.
My advice is to rent or borrow the game if you can. Chances are you will probably like this game as most people do. It just didn't do it for me.
I'll agree with you to a point on #1 and I agree with you on #3. The jumping does take awhile to get use to and even then it can sometimes be a little annoying.I don't want to sound like a downer, but I feel nothing but frustration when I play De Blob and this is coming from a platformer fanatic. I paid $50 for my copy and I thought that was an acceptable price for what I got, so $20 is an absolute steal for this peice of excellence.
So, in short, yes. Buy it now.

I actually agree with all 3 of these points, though strangely enough, I really liked the game. :PHow is the music childish? :?No, Its repetitive, and the Music is Childish.

Hm, Maybe I was wrong calling it chilidish, its just couldnt they add real music?By Real new Bands/Artists?
Maybe I was wrong calling it chilidish, its just couldnt they add real music?By Real new Bands/Artists?I don't think that would really fit the theme of the game. I like the music - I kind of wish you could change it mid-level though since the levels are long. (Still a great game though!)jdiamnz69

They couldn't add "real" music, as you put it, as when you are colouring the town the music reacts to everything you do. That is one of my favourite things about de Blob.

Agreed. Besides, I'd rather play to its wonderful soundtrack, not to effing Linkin Park. Please Log In to post.
