Is it necessary for me to get 4 gamecube controllers for this game? Is everyone else just going to use their wii mote+nunchuck?

I think the GC controllers are a bit of a hassle, so I'm going to get classic controllers instead because they will be compatible

This is a question better asked when people have got to try the different combinations out.. I doubt I will play Brawl with anything else than the GC controller in the end, though.

If your friends and yourself aren't that familiar with Smash then avoiding the GC controllers wouldn't be a bad thing... but if you played Smash a lot then I'd consider it.

Only buy 1, It'll give you an advantage over your friends. Make them all use Wiimotes, and laugh at them while they lose.

its pointless to get 4 gamecube controllers for wii if you dont already have them. playing it with the wiimote will be easy once you get use to it, not that im saying i'll use that. I'm stticking with my gamecube controller :D

I suppose if you have people coming over all the time to use the system it might be a good idea, but if its not like an everyday thing I would say to save your money...

I'll try all the choices but in the end I know I'll end with the GameCube controller. I'll train myself very soon with Melee. I want to beat the first part of Mario Galaxy (first 120 stars) before playing on Melee. I want to regain my combos with Mario (my chosen character) before making the jump to Brawl.

even though brawl will be alot like melee, i think there might be some significant differences that might make all your "training" go to waste. My character is Link or Fox :D

I doubt it will be that necessary. Unless you're really used to the GC controller or a Smash purist just go with what you have. Besides, Wiimote + Nunchuk seems fine and just Wiimote is okay, the only hard part is the B button.

I'm just going to warn people who are planning on using Classic Controllers, when people played the demo at E4All they said that the Classic Controller wasn't as tight as it could've been. Gamecube controllers turned out great in Melee, so I'd reccomend that.

If you played SSBM a lot, then you must be familiar with the GC controller, so Iwould recommend you to buy at least 2 of them. If you haven't played any Smash, don't buy the GC controllers, you'll get used to the Wii mote.
