It's not him you should be worried about, it's the Parents lol. Are they like super strict?
Cause the game can get gory sometimes, lots of blood......Luckily my mom used to love horror movies, and my mom would encourage me to "shoot their kneecaps" and shoot them "were it hurts"

It just really depends on the Parents. Also does your cousin love action games? If he does then yes get it.

His parents would probably let him, and I've seen the trailers, and the violence is about as violent as a PG-13 movie. It's the blood and gore I'm worried about.

Depends on the parents. If they let him, then its okay. if it was my cousin, i wouldn't let them play it. My parents let me play games when i was a kid (mature ones), but with my kids that wont happen.

Man, you haven't seen scary. Play REmake, or if you have a PS2 play like Silent Hill 3 *chills*.

You can't blow people's head up and chainsaw head off in a PG-13 movie. This is one of the most violent games ever made.

if he already has any RE4 game, no. if he doesnt like to get scared, no way (even if RE4 is the least scary RE). if his parents doesnt like the idea of his son playng a game where a chainsaw cuts the player's head, dont even think about it. if he doesnt fit any of these, give it to him and play with him. its very cool to play scary games played on single player when not alone. but remember to turn off the lights

No 12 is way to young.... then again your talking to a guy who wasnt aloud to have a Spuirt Gun, SuperSoaker, or anything that resembled a gun as a child. My fist M game was halo at age 16.... I think.

For a twelve year old? Let him watch 28-Days Later, then make him go outside and feed your cats or whatever. If he doesn't pee his pants, go for it.

If his parents don't mind, and he's mature enough, then go ahead. I played RE4 when i was 12, it was my first M game, butit was one of my best game experiences ever. It also depends on how many violent games he's been exposed too, and also if he's a fan of the genre.

If you don't count how Leon dies by having a chain-saw carving through his neck.

There's some sick stuff in the game for someone of any age. He'll probably enjoy it, though, and I doubt any of the sick stuff would do any permanent damage. If he can't stand the occasional gore (I'm thinking of the pitchforked person in the shack), then he'll stop playing it.

So unless you know that his parents aren't going to like it, get it for him. The violence is unrealistic enough, I'd say.
