Should sonic be taken over by Nintendo?

I don't mean that he has gone down the tube. But besides being in Brawl. NOTHING good has happened to sonic since the dream-cast. I think Nintendo should fight for Sonic.

His last like 20 games were horrible.

I say no, because there is no legitimate reason why Nintendo would purchase the rights to Sonic the Hedgehog from Sega. After all, Nintendo does have many profitable franchises.

If people are unhappy with most of the recent Sonic games, then they should boycott them than daydream that Nintendo would be the "white knight" that will save the franchise. Nintendo has no moral obligation to save the Sonic franchise.

Since Sonic has been doing well lately there's no real point of Sega letting him go

Now if this thread was made years ago you might have some sort of argument in your favor, not today.

no it's just that the first 3 or so people were against what I THOUGHT would be a landslide victory for nintendo taking sonic.

Dude, Sonic Adventure 2: Battle for Gamecube is one of the best games i've ever played. If sega made that, then i'd say no. yes thats right, just because of that ONE game.

I think that both Nintendo and Sega need to collaborate on the next Sonic game (after Unleashed), and make it exclusive version on the Wii (3D) and the DS (2D).

and if Sega was to ever sell the Sonic franchise Nintendo would buy it.

Thats because it was a port of the original Sonic Adventure 2 from the DC. That game got an 8.6.

Either way the game was great.

Thta is not a bad idea. Sega does nothing good, and Nintendo could save Sonic.

I say let Sega save Sonic on there own they don't need Nintendo, all they need to do is put some effort in their Sonic games like they use to.

Yeah but the fact that Sonic is SEGA now makes SEGA look like a bad company. I think he should move, SEGA are doing nothing for him, if the next Sonic flops he's doomed.

Sega shouldn't sell sonic to nintendo. sonic games have been bad recently but they were once very good Sonic Adventure 1&2 were both great games. If the went back a few steps sonic would be a great game again they got close with sonic the hedghog but it was ruined with load times and flaws, but when playing the levels(not loading them) the game was fun. maybe the next sonic game would be good sonic unleashed, but i feel most people here would agree they should make a sonic adventure 3 or a game close to that.

Link is doing fine inf act he is doing great in his series. Zelda games still a ten steps ahead of whats out there. If anything Square Enix would kill that franchise.
