We need a new Metroid DS game by Retro, and not some other stupid company. I heard that there is a new side-scroller Metroid coming out, but it's would be form Nintendo ( which isn't bad ), but we need a real Prime game for DS.
It was a game geared more towards FPS fans instead of Metroid fans. I was actually frustrated with the extreme lack of creativity that went into it. The same 2 bosses over and over again. With that last fight that wasn't hard but took forever. It was just boring.

Not to mention the completely dull campaign. The single-player aspect of Metroid Prime 1 & 2 for the Gamecube was what made the game so enthralling and atmospheric. I was extremely disappointed with Hunters.
Of course there should be! If Nintendo doesn't release a new Metroid for the DS, it would be very rude from their part. And yes, it would have to have a better single player than Hunters. The single player was a real letdown. Couldn't be compared to either Fusion or the other Metroid Primes. Personally, I'm hoping that the next Metroid for the DS is a side-scroller, since the Wii will have the next Metroid Prime installment.
I think they should focus all 3D Metroind attempts on the DS on multiplayer content. If we're getting another 2D Metroid, I strongly welcome the single player campaign as they're usually great!
 MPH is an amazing game for the ds. It has the best graphics on ds and the single player is amzing. The enviroments are amazing, the enemies are amazing, and the puzzle solving and combat is amazing. Whoever called it an "attempt" should learn what an "attempt" IS!

How is Metroid Overrated? I've never liked the side scrollers. I played the NES Metroid..very first one, and then Super Metroid. It's just so....slow. I rather play Mega Man than Metroid any day. Then came Metroid Prime. I rented it because of my experience with the other Metroids. I usually don't rent. It's a waste of money when you play something you like and end buying it. Anyways...I played Metroid Prime and was like wtf? What's so great about this. It's just another FPS. Lost interest very quickly.
So, ya, Metroid is overrated. But, I like the music. Can't deny that.

So, ya, Metroid is overrated. But, I like the music. Can't deny that. It's pretty naive to call Metroid Prime an FPS. Name one decent FPS with a "lock on" feature. It's an FPA, with an emphasis on exploration and atmosphere. It got a 9.7 on GS for a reason, it wouldn't have gotten it if it was "just another FPS".Â
The game was meant for online, simple as that. Don't like it? Cry some more. Personally, hats off to the creative team. I'll save "prime" games for a console thanks.
I honestly hate the Prime series but I really liked Metroid Fusion for the GBA (it's a lot more fast paced than the other 2D Metroids) so I'd really like to see Metroid Dread come out for the DS.

This really angers me. How coud you downplay MPH like that. Look at what they achieved! An awesome handheld online multiplayer experience plus the best graphics we've seen on DS. Im one of the few who actually enjoyed the single player campaign. The way they described Gorea and everything kinda scared me. I loved it.

It was nowhere near as atmospheric as the console versions, and it was very disappointing that the series turned into an FPS as opposed to an FPA. And don't even get me started on the repetitiveness of the bossfights...the multiplayer's okay, though.
