I may still give it a chance, sometimes GS can give much higher scores than IGN, even other critics do, so don't listen to critics all the time.

Then you should stil play it.

The Review was mostly complaining about the controls. Yes, they take a little getting used to. Yes, using the nunchuk and the wii-mote would have solved any issue immediately. BUT, you know what? I like it when wii games use the wii-mote ONLY sometimes. Swapping the cIassic controller with the nunchuk and vice-versa every time I want to play a game can be a bit of an incovenience sometimes. Just grab the wii-mote and go. I don't think it justifies giving the game a below-average score.

Everything else in the game is SimCity (somewhat) refined. You still get the balancing of Residential, Commercial and Industrial Areas. You still get to create the city of your dreams. You still have to lay out roads, electricity and piping. You still listen to your citizens praise and complaints.

This version has Characters from MySims acting as advisors that get progressively more intelligent as you gain more citizens. The Hero buildings are HUGE, COOL LOOKING and INFLUENCE the other buildings around them in changing their appearance. I haven't tried the disasters yet, but they are in there and use motion functionality. Finally, flying around your city in a Helicopter, again, using motion controls, is very cool too.

Ignore the reviews. Just try it.

I bought this game the other day and I love it. The review score should be higher than a 5.9.

Why are people defending the game? Controls= What make the game.

And WHY are you arguing with the people who are defending it?

Did you play it?

Do you know ANYTHING about SimCity at all?

It's not a fast action game where the controls make or break it. It is a simulation game which depends mostly on pointing, clicking and moving a map around. The controls work absolutely fine. It just takes someone with an ounce of patience and willingness to actually try to learn how to play something to be successful.

Do you EVER go into a topic with something positive to say?

Yes. It's a fully functioning SimCity game.

It has Money, a Budget, City Ordinances, Advisors, Assistants, Water Pipes, Trains, a Subway System, Disasters, Water Purification buildings, Garbage Dumps, Spreadsheets, Gifts (like a Statue of the Mayor), Traffic, Fires...

You name it. It's in there.

It just LOOKS cuter than the average SimCity because of the MySims characters in there.
