I'm on a bit of a Metroid kick, and I've heard generally good things about Metroid Prime Hunters. However, mostof this praise has been about the multiplayer. None of my friends own this game, and my WiFi connection on my DSi doesn't work with regular DS games. So, how's the single player campaign? Is it any good? From what I've heard it's not very Metroid-y.

To me it's okay, pretty short but has its moments. There is multiplayer where you can just play against 3 ai's.

The single player was alright... Sometimes it feels good to go through it again though. But I had a lot of fun with the multiplayer against the computers even when I didn't have Wi-Fi access.

It was pretty bad, no metroids, repeating bosses (you battle the same boss 3 or 4 times) there are 3 different bosses in the whole game 2 of them you battle over and over again. Oh and then there are the hunters I guess you could count those as mini-bosses.

Yeah it was kinda boring because of those repeated bosses and hunters and I don't think it is worth buying if you don't have WiFi connection which is really good ! I have the game and I finished the Single Player game because then you unlock all the hunters for Multiplayer and WiFi !

I am not a big fan of that game even though I love Metroid.

I've never really been into Metroid. but this has the best FPS multiplayer (If the only) on the DS.

There's little to the single player campaign. It's pretty repetitive and feels more like an advertisement for the multiplayer mode rather than an actual story driven experience. Unless you're either bored or lacking DS games, you'll struggle to find the motivation to complete the single player mode.

well to put it simply, the single player sucked nuts.repeated bosses, and minibosses. no nonweaponry related powerups besides energy tanks. and the single player killed it with the repeated escape sequences.it's horrible but the cutscenes have wii graphics so to speak. and it's only fun when you beat the gorea and gorea phase2. also the ending sucked beacuse you don't get better endings if you get 100%weaponry and scans. but the multiplayer and wifi was probably the only reason this game got an 8.6

The really cheaped out on the single player mode. Mutiplayer is a lot of fun, me and my little brother have spent hours playing it.

I was enjoying it at first, then was incredibly thrown off once the bosses were repeated with slight variations, it just wasn't cool. I love the metroid series, but they've always had great boss fights and this game seriously lacked that.
