@tocool340: Wouldn't it feel weird to walk from a forest to a desert to a land covered in lava? I think the concept of the Sky was necessary, but needed more expansion and depth. But I do agree that a warp system would be much more effective than traveling with the Loftwing.

@cbeers2513: Just as weird as it was in OoT, TP, MM, and all the other Zelda's that had split lands with different elements. The transition between all three lands could have been made subtle as those titles or like the Metroid Prime games....

@tocool340: True but it would have needed some sort of Hyrule Field to transition between the worlds, which would have eliminated the whole island-in-the-sky theme they were going for.

@cbeers2513: Don't necessarily need a big open field. Small settlements could have been made to act as junctions between each land. Mogma (?) and Goron's between Eldin Volcano and Lanayru Desert. Kikwi, Parella (? I think those underwater prehistoric Zora's beings were called that) and possibly at some point, those ancient mining robots could be placed between the desert and woods. And a few Kikwi and gorons between the woods and volcano. Hell, sealed grounds could have been made as the center piece for traveling between each land. And if those ideas seem a bit weird, go the OoT route where at the desert, there's a waterfall that leads to the woods, a cave in the woods that lead to the volcano, and....I can't think of anything that leads to the desert to be honest. =P Maybe a small pond in the woods leads to an oasis in the desert? Or a path down the volcano that leads to the desert?

There are many ways to create a medium for traveling between each land without compromising the sky world of the game (Not like there was much to do up there anyways.)...

I will agree that the world below the clouds had to be connected. And the game was also in serious need of a warping system.

Now that I think about it that would have been a great use for the harp, which was pretty under-used in the game as well. The harp could have warped Link between levels and eliminated all the needless backtracking. That would be an interesting possibility if they ever remade the game on the Wii U.

Just wondering did A Link Between Worlds feature the same system as A Link to the Past as far as warping? I haven't played it yet.

If you are talking about the warp points between the light and dark worlds, then yes, it is pretty much the same. A Link Between Worlds had many more warp points than A Link to the Past, which is awesome.

Plus, you could travel between all the save points in the world! It is a key part of why A Link Between Worlds was so great. It has no filler or padding. It gets to the point quickly and it is consistently great. There is not a dull moment during the adventure.

I hope the Wii U Zelda has the same mechanics too.
