ok so how does this work snake is appearing on the new smash bros game because he has appeared on earlier systems and konami make games for nintendo consoles

bearing with that in mind since square enix also makes game for nintendo consoles its also possible for square characters to pop up in smash bros right?

so if tht is possible would the only characters able to show up are the ones that were originally on nintendo consoles meaining no cloud since he appeared on sony's console OR is it completely upto square whether his character is used

actually the reasoning for Snake appearing in Brawl is because Hideo Kojima, the creator of Metal Gear, begged Satoru Iwata to put him in the game. It has nothing to do with the fact that he appeared on any Nintendo system so Nintendo has the rights.

actually the reasoning for Snake appearing in Brawl is because Hideo Kojima, the creator of Metal Gear, begged Satoru Iwata to put him in the game. It has nothing to do with the fact that he appeared on any Nintendo system so Nintendo has the rights.

It's not like I could blame him, SSBB is a hugely popular series. Iwata probably accepted because it would bring new players to the series.

That and they are apparantly friends, so I guess he would've felt like a jerk rejecting him

wow...someone else other than me said that.... this is the sole reason i believe that NO other third party characters will appear in Brawl, not even Sonic

there really shouldn't be any third party characters. If anyone is gonna make it would be snake and sonic. I dont know ehere people get these crazy ideas that anime characters will pop up in smash bros. Some people are in for huge disappointment.

Yeah this way Snake would bring Sony fans to the Nintendo console, and the Nintendo fans would get lured to Sony consoles because of Snake.
