With WiiWare titles coming up Nintendo is basiclly screaming HARDDRIVE!!!!!
I mean they have a F-ing FF game on there.

The upcoming WiiWare Final Fantasy is not a traditional Final Fantasy RPG. It's simply somewhat of a Sim game in which you build up your own town. I was disappointed when I read that...oh well.
However even a Sim-like-game would take up alot of space as WiiWare.
its about time for nintendo to release a HDD, maybe this was part of their plan, they waited, made people want a harddrive, and then they sell it seperatly to make more money
It better be a cheap hard drive. $50 has to be the max price. It doesn't have to be larger than 10GB. -Despacio-
..........are you crazy? 10gb=nothing. You probably don't know much about technology, but there is no HDD in the world these days that are 10gb for $50. More like 80gb for $50.
The Wii doesent need a Hard Drive in my opinion. My 2GB SD card is all I need, and in the unlikely event that it somehow fills up, then I will spend £20 on another one. I dont need a Hard Drive. And neither do you. The 360 and PS3 are different however and need a Hard Drive because they have multi mediapossibilities such as being able to download movies which takes up lots of space.CRAZYCAM_93
Don't you get it? You can't play any sort of game from SD cards on the Wii.

10 gigs would be like a dollar...lol. people can get a 500 gig HDD for $110.

I guess the USB port, unless you used them already.HolyCheesus
In which case, you'd simply need a Hub.
the life of a console is about 5 years and i think it won't take longer because the for 2012 the graphics on the wii will seem like nesLisandro_v22
Err, even by 2012, they won't seem THAT out of date.

Two things. You assumed I was saying $50 for 10gb when in fact I was stating two seperate things. It shouldn't cost more than $50 and we really don't need more than 10gb. Not that we should get a 10gb hard drive for $50.
Second, have you seen the ridiculous price Microsoft charges for a 20gb hard drive? $80-100 bucks. Yeah, for the PC internal or external hard drives are cheap but for a console these companies love to gouge the customer because these hard drives only apply to their hardware.
