Well, I disagree with your decision. My question is, how long have you been involved in console gaming.

Anyone who's been in it long enough understands that unless you want to wait for games, don't buy one before the console has been out for a year, and sure as hell don't get rid of your old stuff just to buy the latest new fangled gadget.

I love Nintendo. I love Nintendo games. But I also love games in general, Nintendo is just my favorite because I grew up with them.

I enjoy the Wii, wish there were more games, but I'm spending a lot of time catching up on games I've missed and expanding my collection. I've spent more time playing Gcn and PS2 since I got my Wii than I have playing the Wii. But I know that it won't forever be that way.

I think the Wii is a great console that will have some amazing experiences only possible on the Wii. However, I'm too much of a gamer to limit myself to one console. Eventually, I'll have a 360 (probably christmas time) and by then a lot of great game will be cheap and I'll have plenty to choose from and keep me busy, on the Wii and 360 combined.

Well, I mean, the PS3 has alot of good games coming out soon too... and they actually include online play. I dunno, it just kills me to finish the campaigns on the Wii and then be done with it... I'm used to the endless replay value of online play after beating a campaign. I know what you mean though... but the upcoming PS3 line up just interests me more than the Wii's. DONT GET ME WRONG - I LOVE THE WII... I just feel like it's lacking right now.carljohnson3456

I've been gaming since the NES days... I owned that, SNES, then switched to the Playstation generation. I do love the Wii, and I know eventuallyit will have a great library, I justwant to get a PS3 whilethey're 500, lol. I'm grateful for the Wii though, this generation would probably be pretty boring without it.carljohnson3456

I'm very Anti-sony. I havn't been this way very long, but they've just really pissed me off over the last 2 years or so. I bought a PS2 for Guitar Hero, and found a lot of awesome games I enjoy. Ace Combat series, God of War series, the usual suscepts included. I'd hate to thing I'll miss out on playing MGS4 or GoW3, but honestly thats all the PS3 has that interests me.

Going with Nintendo was a sure fire bet to me. I've sat back and watched the other two duke it out, and I see more promise in the 360, a lot more than I did when it launched. I basically blew microsoft off then and said I guess I'll wait to see what sony has, and sony dropped the ball. Wii60 will be good enough for me, and perhaps one day I find a PS3 in a yard sell I'll pick it up. But I think thats a long ways off.

Lol, I actually own a 360, I play Gears of War alot, but other than that, I dont like spending much money on it cause it's broken down on me twice. Only thing about PC games is my computer isnt powerful enought to handle alot of games, andI dont know all about video cards and all that stuff, so I'm a console jockey I guess, lol.

If you want to buy a new Wii, it's now or never. Prepare for another shortage very soon since the big 3is coming this year. Also, don't expect a price drop for at least another year. Also, you want Metroid Prime 3 and it's coming next week.

This thread really belongs in the System Wars forum. As you can see by many of the replies, this type of thread usually turns into a console-comparison thread. That's not always necessarily a bad thing, but system comparisons are only allowed in the System Wars forum, because they often tend to degenerate into flame fests in the system-specific forums.
