So I emailed Nintendo about the storage issue

and this is what they said

If we announce plans in the future for an external storage device (such as a USB drive or an external hard drive), or a way to save to or transfer data from an SD Card, we'll be sure to post this information to our website (www.nintendo.com). Be sure to check our site often for all the latest Nintendo news.

i think nintendo has narrowed it down to a hardrive or atleast an sd card cause that guy kinda gave it away

I think Nintendo really needs to release an external USB drive or something. I'm getting really tired of having to go through 5 minutes of crap just to play a VC game that I should be able to play as soon as the Wii Menu comes upAndYOU

I had 6 last time I checked but i deleated sbcg4ap and i got zack and wiki and wii fit yesterday so Im not sure now

hey i also heard a rumor that theyll make the wii delete the vc games that are rarely played but it keeps the chanel on the wii still so wen u go to the games channel it downloads it quickly

id rather that then havin to go on the shop channel every time

You can't play games off of SD cards.

um they should let us store the games on sd card thats already available lol , havent they figured it out all it takes is a firmware update , plus allow externals,

they do not need to make their own expensive hdd, do it like sony, let us use externals or plug a adapter in the usb that has a bay for a 2.5 sata hdd like the ones sony uses, either way definatelly will work

I downloaded Strong Bad and it left only 7 blocks left. It requires 9 blocks for a save file so I had to delete two small save files :P.

He mentioned an external hard drive, a USB drive and SD cards, which are pretty much the only three options they could ever consider if you think about the Wii's hardware configuration as it is now. Every other option would involve a new Wii SKU.

I've got about five so far, but I back them up to my SD card so that I am at least covered if I do have to bring them to another wii. Though I'll probably get quite a few once MM9 is released. Been itching for a reason to buy more wii points.codezer0

Er, sorry, but if you bring that SD card to another Wii and try to play the VC games on it, it won't work. Even if you move them to your friend's Wii, it still won't work. They're programmed to only work on the Wii's they were purchased on.

It is possible to transfer your account if your Wii needs replacing, but you have to contact Nintendo and have them help you. Apparently it's not a easy transition.

It doesn't mean anything ? what are the options ? Release a new system with more storage ?? well that would make everyone mad ( that has one and wants more storage ) because they'd have to buy a new wii.....

It's a hassle. I have so many VC games that half of the stuff I bought isn't even on my system because of storage issues. There are many games that I like to pick up for a few minutes at a time. It's such an inconvenience to have to go to the shop channel and redownload stuff.

what your saying is moving to an SD card, you GAME SAVES. I was talking about just deleting virtual console games you aren't playing / wii ware games, since you can redownload those.
