We just got SMRPG 10 days ago and you're complaining? :| Give it time, I'm sure we will get SoM sooner or later. You can't expect them to release all the good stuff at once. Japan just seems to get the good stuff before us is all. :(

I've always wanted to be Japanese. All the technology and everything. And they always get the good games first. Too bad their history isn't too pleasant. Forget that though. I just wish I was Japanese for all of the early game shipments. And they fascinate me kind of:D.

Actually SoM was quite good unless you play it again now-a-days. The keen observer will find that the AI is stupid and the enemies are reused at least 3 times with color pallete changes to to lengthen out the game. It gets a lot better if you have two buddies that can play along with you. But it WAS one of the best SNES RPGs and the music was great. I'm tempted to buy it...

The game was so good that it is one of the few games that I completely maxed out the charachters the weapons and even found weapons that you could only get walking around the final dungeon through battles that was hard to get. That game is a gem

Let's see...a lengthy, graphically-gorgeous (for a SNES game) action RPG that supports up to three--count 'em, three--players simultaneously that can drop in and out at will, with lots of weapons, armor, magic, etc., a great story and challenging battles... it's one of the greatest games never remade. Every Mana game that followed (with the possible exception of Seiken Densetsu 3) pales in comparison to Secret of Mana.

For $8 it is a steal. They should come out with the other one on SNES that never came out in english as well, along with the romancing saga series.

*sigh* Whats with all the VC whiners nowadays?-Oath

In all fairness, NOA's behavior concerning the VC is incredibly backwards and borderline stupid. The bottom line is that the large majority of these games are just sitting, waiting for Nintendo to get around to them. If a game is given the green light for release (meaning all licencing, instruction manual translating, and ESRB ratings have been taken care of) then there should be a world-wide release, simultaneously. These are pre-existing titles. There's no localization, editing or translation to be done. There's no reason, whatsoever, that Japan should receive Sieken Densetsu 2 while the US waits months for their version, Secret of Mana.

Just saying.

While all that may be very true, I still believe the whiners should suck it up and be patient... or go to a used game store....

.... You can keep the cookie, but just a few days ago I went to my nearest game store called "gamechamp" and they had 2 SNES Secret of Mana cartridges as well as 2 Eartbounds, 1 Super Metroid, 3 Chrono Triggers and 7 used SNES systems running for about $65 bucks. Pretty easy.

I remember I rented this back in teh day....is the game where you start off in a little town by some water, and there's some docks you can walk on?

I never understood what you were supposed to do in the beginning. Maybe I should get this when it comes to NA

Hmmm, I believe your thinking of "Illusion of Gaia", another fantastic SNES RPG.

You got super super super lucky then. Especially since you could recoup the cost and then some with a single copy of chrono trigger on ebay.

Having replayed SoM recently, I can say I wouldn't be excited if it did come to the VC. It's a really overrated game.
